and I have been attacked on here, on a personal level, to only find that those I thought would come to my aid, only threw fuel on the fire........so, THING's have changed around here for me.....I don't have quite the same level of desire to prove anything to anybody on here....I post and move on.

That is the way you perceive anyone who disagrees and have managed to chase most posters away with the name calling, demeaning, and holier than thou, inconsiderate retorts.  Yes, this is the no holds barred section but how much heat is someone supposed to have to put up with.  You know damn well if someone were to post to you like you and others have posted to Hank, "me", and some other posters you wouldn't like one bit nor would you even try to converse with them again.  You can't have an exchange of opinion when one group bullies over another just because they happen to be larger and won't let anyone join the opposing group because they're afraid of more competition and new input.  My way or the highway is not a good attitude.

He came on with an attitude, spoiling for a fight. Didn't do any homework, just 'tuded up. The attacks you are subjected to are more like family squabbles. He is NOT part of the "family" yet, but he takes  liberties like he is --the very definition of a troll.

If someone did that to you, I would defend you just the same, even though I disagree with many of your positions.

"Family" squabbles are different, and this forum is much like a somewhat dysfunctional family. I watch the disagreements, sometimes flinching at the comments, but fairly sure that the nastiness will pass, since everyone on here has a track record for letting it go in the end.

When a stranger enters, no one knows what the motives are, and if they come on strong they are liable to get it back; hence my original cautionary statements.

Perhaps less of a trollish attitude would be better approach.
