Answers as to how I turned into such a heathen after following the primrose path for so many years.  ;D

I DO NOT think you are a heathen........I see your point of view...and understand YOUR logic on how you arrived to the point where you are now......I just disagree, with ALL my heart...and I think you are wrong.....but, that does not mean a hill of bean, nor is it my business.
I will say, that you are in for a fight IF you think people are just going to quietly disregard, deeply rooted, spiritually driven and passionate beliefs, simply because SOME people THINK THEY have the answers....and being an outright prick, and putting people down and acting superior WILL only fuel the fight....

My path is similar, except i took a detour into catholicism and have a christian university background - yet the end result is the same.
And yet a little different.  Because your spiritual path still exists.  What logic exists to explain what you and I have faith in?
Looks like I've come full circle.

I know this one!  None...
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

I agree HH.  The problem is that the ONLY way we're ever going to make progress in enlightenment is if the masses bother to educate themselves and their children, and stop passing fairy tales along from generation to generation.   It's a vile meme and it needs to be expunged.  But time and again it's been shown that people don't want to be educated for one reason or another.   In that case, I guess what Exterminator says rings true.  "You can't fix stupid."  It would be ok if stupidity along these lines wasn't so damn dangerous.

What I also find interesting is how quickly believers will discount the fairy tales of others (e.g. Mormons, Muslims, Seventh Day Adventists, etc.), but still cling so tightly to their own god myth.  "My God is better than your God!"  And they fail to see how ridiculous it all is when it's pointed out.

Yeah, I bet if you were riled up enough by your local preacher, you would go out and kill those who don't "believe" like you.  In fact, you might even strap on a bomb, or fly a plane into a building to protect those "deeply rooted, spiritually driven and passionate beliefs", wouldn't you?

I can only hope you do realize how that sounds.  When you insist that "deeply rooted, spiritually driven and passionate beliefs" are a legitimate form of science or law, then you are a religious nutjob with terrorist potential.

This girl absolutely lampoons that idiot Cameron and this ridiculous idea.  I LOVE her accent.

Holy crap!  I am in love.  What a great face and mind to back it up.  I wish I were independently wealthy; I would fund her appearance at every Cameron book handout to personally tell them they are full of shit and have her tear out the 50 pages of lies and put them in a toilet paper wrapper.

She would then challenge the dumbasses to a public debate.  Can you imagine monkey boy cameron and his banana wielding handler trying to defend their ignorance to this intelligent spokeswoman for reason?
