Isn't it convenient that he left out that the same study found that only 23.4 percent of college professors overall declare themselves atheist or agnostic but then, that would throw a huge monkey wrench into the claim that universities are turning their students into athiests; now wouldn't it?

Exactly.  Doesn't suit the agenda.

I do find it quite telling however, that as education (and specifically scientific education) increases, religiosity decreases.  The percentage of members of the National Academies (the elite of the elite) that reject the god concept runs upwards of 85%.   That shows that religion tends to take advantage of the dumbest among us.

I guess it's ok to lie if you're doing it to further geebuz's agenda.

Of course.
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

Locutus,

With all due respect, and I DO respect you....I know that you are sincere, and I even understand your logic on this.
But insinutaing or worse 'demanding' people to give up something, that you HAVE never even experienced, and believe to be bad...There have been many, many great people, who helped develop this great nation that we live in, so YOU can have your STRONG opinion, BELEIVED in God...millions of have given their lives for the humanity of others...believed in God....Billions of $$ have been freely given, in the NAME of GOD to feed and help .... THOSE less fortunate.

it has NOT ALL been bad.....many of the Good things are being overlooked....and the only way YOUR idea's can EVER be accomplished is to destroy, the LOVE, FAITH and HOPES of Millions and Millions of people....

you need to be carefull what you wish for....

HH, you're treading down that oft trodden path of the "you haven't experienced it" fallacy.   You see, I've been there and done that.  Early years were spent in the Pentecostal church; later years were spent in the Southern Baptist church.  I've done the whole "saved" thing, and been baptized, so I've been there.  But there was a disconnect.  I engaged my brain.  I began to ask questions when prayers went unanswered, and when godly sick people weren't healed.  You see, it doesn't make any sense.  There aren't any prayers that are answered.  It's all delusional.

I then went further and explored the origins of Christianity and its history.  I found that Christianity isn't the first one to tell the story of a god-man who gave himself for the poor unwashed masses.  There are parallels between Christianity and paganism.  The list goes on, and on, and on.  So I studied it to it's logical conclusion and found the answer to why there are no answers to prayers, and why godly people die horiffic deaths.  There is no god.  It's all bullshit.

So the argument that "You haven't experienced it" won't work on me.

And, just like all the others, you have no answer either.   ;D

Now would any of you be surprised at the fact that Ray Comfort is also a plagiarist?  :rotfl:

I knew he couldn't write that shit on his own and now I have the proof!

Here's the "introduction" supposedly written by the nutjob Ray Comfort.  It's in a PDF attached to this post.

Now compare starting on page 5 with the contents of this article written by a professor in the biology department at the University of Tennessee.  The plagiarism is clear and evident.

My path is similar, except i took a detour into catholicism and have a christian university background - yet the end result is the same.

ANd I'll bet most of the content that he lists as sources in the footers has been plagiarized as well!

Yeah, I noticed that as well and found it awfully strange.
