And thank you for appreciating that I even mentioned the fact that I appreciated you posting that speech.  You go right ahead and have your fun and laughs I will still disagree with some of his policies just like you disagreed with some of Bush's.  I am neither ignorant, a redneck, nor am I racist.  Was a black who disagreed with Bush a racist?  No, he was just a person who disagreed with Bush just I and most other whites are not racist just we disagree with Obama's policies and the blacks who disagree are not jealous but just disagree with a mans policy, not a black mans policies, a mans policies. You are a teacher Kimmi do you teach your kids to ridicule those who disagree with them?

THAT is the basic liberal response.....ALWAYS rude and mean...IT was just fine to slam and disagree with Bush...but WOW...this is ridicules.

What's funny, or sad you could say, is that they say we are the ones with the problem and who are hate mongers.  Go figure.

Me I didn't think I had to pat you on the back for looking at something so harmless and seeing how ridiculous people are being, but since you need that extra reassurance, good job!

How exactly did I ridicule you again?  Did you draw the homeskool picture?

I don't see it. Neither a case, nor a point. Would you care to expand a bit on how Kimmi was a rude, mean liberal because she isn't "proude" of the "homeskooler?"

evidently you guys just don't see it....but, it is ALWAYS that it just people on the right's fault for NOT seeing things the way you do....

It doesn't mean a hill of beans....so it is NOT worth explanation any further if you don't see it now...

Nope, not good enough. "It's true because I say so" only works with my mother.

I'm not asking why you think the left calls the right obtuse. I'm asking why you think labeling an argument as rude when you can't answer it, makes any kind of reasonable point.

I guess it is always the little snide remarks that come along with the argument that makes it 'rude'....although 'rude' on here is just part of the package anymore....

why is it that it is so important that EVERYBODY has to get excited about the POTUS (or the ones that some did not vote for him)...to have their kids taken AWAY from their normal classes to hear a "live" speech about staying in school.....NOW, I have read the transcript and it is a really "nice" speech and I have NO problem with his 'tapping' and having the schools show it at the end of the day or at a time when it does not have to disrupt the whole schedule.........an obviously this IS an issue with many many parents or this would not even be a discussion....

like I said before, I think it is a trust issue....and it is not just the POTUS it is government as a whole....many people do not trust what they are doing.  I think if the POTUS would have offered this speech a month after his taking office there would NOT have been any problems what so ever.

Just for kicks and giggles........THOMAS JEFFERSON said, "The Bible is the source of liberty." He further stated, "The Bible makes the best people in the world."

Giggle...giggle...

The statement, "the Bible is the source of liberty" has not been found in any writings of Thomas Jefferson.

When Bush spoke to students, Democrats investigated, held hearings

The controversy over President Obama's speech to the nation's schoolchildren will likely be over shortly after Obama speaks today at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia. But when President George H.W. Bush delivered a similar speech on October 1, 1991, from Alice Deal Junior High School in Washington DC, the controversy was just beginning. Democrats, then the majority party in Congress, not only denounced Bush's speech -- they also ordered the General Accounting Office to investigate its production and later summoned top Bush administration officials to Capitol Hill for an extensive hearing on the issue...

Yes.  And once again, the uproar (just like with the teabaggers) seems to originate with ignorant, redneck racists that have no other valid problem with obama except that he is black.

I love that the picture says Proud Homeskooler! hahaha

I agree that it was just a bunch of hype.  Although I'm sure someone on Fox News will read it and read between imaginary lines to see some sort of communist or socialist ideology in it.
Just what is that comment if not one that is ridiculing anyone who dares to question?  I wasn't inferring that it was aimed at me specifically nor was I even referring to just this one particular instance.  If that picture and statement aren't made in a ridiculing manner meant to demean and shame someone for questioning then how was it meant?  I don't see anything complementary about it in the least.  I didn't ask to be patted on the back for my post thanking Kimmi for posting that speech, in fact I didn't ask for a comment back at all much less a smart ass one from Dan.  Like I have asked before and never really gotten an answer.  Since when is it a crime to question our government or it's policies?  Since when does that make one ignorant?  Since when does that make one a racist or a bigot?  Why should this president be treated any different than any of the others?  He is not "special"  just because he is the first black president he is a man just like all the other presidents before him and we have a right to question if we chose to do so without being persecuted and ridiculed just as ya'll had a right to question Bush and we have all questioned and disagreed with other presidents in the past.

Why should this president be treated any different that any of the others?

Something we agree on.
