I sure don't want the terrorists knocking on my door. I bet they are loving all this bickering going on in America over the war. I haven't
heard anyone say they liked war. Try going to the 9/11 Smithsonian
in DC. Listen to the tapes, look at the pictures, watch the film clips, etc.
I promise you that you won't come out with dry eyes. I was in upstate NY when that all happen, it was scary. I know that each one of us would
love for our troops to come home and they will. I just hope they aren't
treated like the Viet Nam veterans were. I wish that our government
wasn't so divided on so many issues and would work together. God Bless America!

I think the administration is finally coming around to the general idea that most of us have had for years:

Let the Iraqis settle their own problems; we cannot do it for them.

When it was suggested many times, the administration labeled it "cut and run."

I just want the political bs to stop so troops can come home safe.

And, no, they won't be treated like Viet Nam vets.

Possibly, that is one lesson we DID learn from that "conflict."

QuoteTell me the truth, would it make you happy, if over the course of the next month, that 95% of the violence, ceased.  Iraq began to establish and "form" of democracy?....I honestly believe there would be many, who would be dissappointed....

Why?  Because of politics?  Only the scumbags with political ambitions would.  Any politician that still has a shred of human decency in him/her would not be dissappointed.  Using our tax dollars to better America rather than a destroy Iraq?  Yea, that would piss me off.

not a chance.

"winning" the war would mean ending the war.

that ain't gonna happen as long as those in power are making money off of it.

The first three links were editorials, the opinion of three individuals, hardly "the media" as a whole, which is your implication and in the 4th link, I fail to see how you were able to get anything close to "winning" from it. Care to  point out what you saw that made you think that?
