Do they? or do they want to keep this as a beating tool for Bush and the Repuclicans?

I really don't see anyone getting excited about the Iraq report....

I respectfully disagree, we CAN win this war or at least accomplish a positive mission, if we can make the Iraqi Army, Police and Gov, be accountable for thier own protection and destiny....and that is very, very do-able....and as a mater of fact, it IS being done...check out the DoD website, we are eliminating Insurgents daily, and the Iraqi people are gaining confidence...you will not read this in the NY Times or her about this on the CBS News...

So, this is the new definition of what it would take for this to be considered a "win"? It's not a war on terror anymore?

why isn't it?.....we are cappin insugents everyday, and we are teaching the Iraqis to do it, so we don't have too...

you really need to try to put your political preference aside and acknowledge that, WHEN Iraq, gets control of things, and the people begin to establish a free government, ridding the culprits who are militants, and it's economy begins to flourish...it could very well, spread to it's neighboring countries....it IS happening, and I really believe that many here in this country are truely WANTING a failure over there, so it can monopolize it political idiolgy.....

Oh. We have just now devised an exit strategy?

It has basicly been the same as Bush has always stated, by getting the Iraqis to gain control of there own Country.....it is the media and politicians who have been claim likewise....

Guess I musta got confused by the "mission accomplished" thing a few years ago.

Expected we'd be out by now.

I'm sure I got it wrong.

The prezdent wouldn't mislead nobody.

After all, he is the prezdent, an' such.

An' he's wiser 'n me, an' he sure don't lie.

I'm jus' gittin' so confoosed lately.

You keep tellin' yourself Henry and perhaps you can continue to keep the truth from sinkin' in. BTW, just a note about your sources...doncha think that perhaps that DefenseLink, which get's it's butter for it's bread, from the Department of Defense might be a lil' biased towards the one that signs the check? They're not going to say we screwed up because there's no job security in that. Try again.

Tell me the truth, would it make you happy, if over the course of the next month, that 95% of the violence, ceased.  Iraq began to establish and "form" of democracy?....I honestly believe there would be many, who would be dissappointed....

I would be happy if this were all over and everybody packed it up and brought it home. IF the violence ceased...that would be wonderful, however to think that it will ever happen in Iraq is wishful thinking. Too many of our soldiers have died in an attempt to help Iraq establish peace..my concern is that it's all in vain.

If we are not successful, then if very well could be in vain.....my point is, if the world would rally around them, force Syria and Iran to keep out...get the Iraqi people confident and able to support themselves....this could be a very successful time for the world.....
