But, I live on a pension, Social Security, Medicare and Ford's medicine plan and dental plan and eye glasses plan and hearing plan and lawyer plan.  And I haven't been pressure by the government at all.

How IS that SS and Medicare working out for you?...Huh?....Oh, yeah in case you didn't know it is near bankrupt....because it was so effecietntly ran by our 'GOVERNMENT'.....and NOW that Obama has sunk his claws into Ford with a $250 million loan, they NOW can regulate all that fine healthcare you have been enjoying for all these years...we will see how good it is, and I am betting it is going to suck out the ass, real soon....you think it was bad now...just wait.

Time will tell us the truth....

My thought of the day has nothing to do with politics or religion.  Last night, I got to witness one of the greatest bands of all time perform.  There is NO duplication or reasonable facsimile of the sounds that are produced by Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Timothy B. Schmit and Joe Walsh.  I was awestruck when they opened the night with "Seven Bridges Road".  Those vocals combined together...ARE...the Eagles.  I had seen these guys back in 1980, when the bickering was at it's peak, right before the breakup...it was obvious then, that their hearts was not in the proper place to perform.  Last night, every song was performed with passion.  You can see the pride that all of them had while the sung and played.  They perfomed from 8:15 to 11:30, with a 20 minute break.  They mixed old with new perfectly and ended it all with a powerful version of "Desperado"....Henley sung it as if it was his last time to do so....They added some small talk to the crowd on occassions, and threw in a little humor from time to time....My wife and I, along with my son and his girlfriend and her parents, all truly enjoyed the evening.  In this day and time, the way prices are on such events, normally leaves you feeling ripped off. It was clearly not the case with this fantastic few hours I was able to spend, having one of best times I have had in a long time.

Glad you got to see them Hank! My wife and I saw them last year at Conseco. They were one of the very few bands who know how to get the sound right for Conseco. And my wife an I came away from that show with the very same experience you relate here. It was a great time and is a great band with a TON of history behind them. They sounded great back in the day and they sound just as good today. Glad you enjoyed yourselves!  8)

I'm very envious! I'm glad that you enjoyed yourselves.

Did anyone open for them? (Not that they need it)

When I saw them last year, no one opened for them. It was all Eagles!
