Tennessee state Senate speaker and gubernatorial candidate Ron Ramsey has joined the growing ranks of officials and prominent commentators who say they are unsure of whether President Barack Obama is a U.S. citizen.
Ramsey was asked Feb. 2 about the issue by Maclin Davis, a former state lawmaker and attorney for the state GOP, the Associated Press reported.
"I don't know whether President Obama is a citizen of the United States or not," Ramsey responded. "I don't know what the whole deal is there."
However, Ramsey added that he doesn't believe citizens are concerned about Obama's citizenship status.
"But I'm going to tell you something," he said. "When you walk out on the street down here, people don't really care about this issue."
Help push the petition asking President Obama to reveal his long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate to the 500,000 mark!
He said dwelling on the issue of whether Obama is eligible to hold office distracts from the Republican message on jobs, education and fiscal conservatism.

I dunno FTW, annoying and wrong, yes, but what makes Doc any different than the other right-wing posters? I can think of a few who think the World Nut Daily provides words to live by. :spooked:
Although I think he probably is a citizen he has brought all this on himself by hiding things about himself like his college records and such. What's the big deal? I mean if he did so well in college and was a bright student why not allow them to release his college records? He already admitted to doing drugs during his college years so what's the harm in knowing the rest?

The difference (a HUGE one, in my opinion) is that the "right wingers" who normally post here have contributed in many other threads and don't just do drive-by spamming. Every time Doc comes here, he simply flames and leaves. Even though the wars get pretty hot here sometimes, no one thinks that any of the participants are spamming, just expressing deeply held beliefs.
I know when the regulars here express themselves that, even though it gets hot & heavy occasionally, the participants don't really seriously dislike each other personally. Doc and a couple of others who rarely visit here except to stir things up give me a distinctly different feeling. Nothing to contribute except snark and snide remarks.

When was the last time that Doc offered anything but warmed-over crap that's been proven wrong time after time?
We've been down the road with the "birther" thing many times.
Yet, here he comes with yet another chunk of ignorance that has no further discussion value or interest whatsoever.
Foster is your opposite number. He holds diametrically opposing views, but is passionate about them. I don't always agree with his points, but, then, I don't always agree with anyone on here.
If Doc offered a point that was worth chewing over, I'd listen. Unfortunately, though, I get the distinct impression that he isn't capable of doing that. He just cuts and pastes others' opinions as if they were his.

Hum, lets see now. If a person believes like we do and is appearing to want to incite and is wrong would we support them....hum....As Spock would say....That question is illogical. No wonder you have such a problem figuring things out.
If a person believes like we do then we don't think they're wrong or inciting just as you wouldn't if it were someone who believed as you do. You are lumping again aren't you? Now go do your thing and twist what I just said all out of proportion. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Henry,
The reason that I find Doc repulsive to listen to is because of statements like this:
"They should do away with the constitution and just follow the laws in the good book and we'd be allright."
Tell me how one defends such a ridiculous statement. Doesn't your conservative ethic condemn him to being anti-American with such a statement. And, before you answer, consider what document defines what it is to be an American in the first place.
I think his statement speaks for itself.

Now read what I posted real close. I did not agree that he wasn't a citizen nor did I get bent out of shape because he admitted to doing drugs like ya'll did about Bush's alcohol usage. What I did question was why he didn't want his college records released which, if he already admitted to something the opposition could use against him, should be no big deal if he's not trying to hide something.

I read what you posted "real close."
The whole post contained points that don't mean squat.
At this juncture, he IS the POTUS.
Let us concern ourselves with the more important matters that have meaning for the future of the United States.
Doc can't get past all the insignificant trivia that has been the hallmark of most of the objections to Obama and his policies in the first place. They still think they can pull some kind of "jury nullification" of whatever he has done/will do. Doc has nothing significant to add.
I'm done with this.
Now read it again as I intended it not how your are taking it. You cannot argue the fact that he has set a lot of things about his past to off limits but yet dug into the past of others who opposed him or did not agree with him and used it against them.

first of all, when you compared me to Dan Foster.........THAT was punch to the gut......he is obnoxious and a bigot....he clearly has hatred, he spews it all the time....I don't believe I have ever lowered myself to THAT level.....he, along with others on here, take personal pot shots at those who disagree with them...
secondly, Doc also has passionate opinions....and EVERYTIME he says anything on here, he is attacked....why not let him say his two cents and if you don't want dialogue back with him, ignore him, as I do Dan....
but, this is only my two cents.....I am getting used to "liberal obnoxiousness"....that seems to be the norm any more....
Henry, you took a whole lot of things way too personally. The comparison I made was because of your reference to him in a previous post. As I said before, I don't agree with all of what he says, but he has been here for some time and has established his bona fides, as you have, certainly. I don't agree with a lot of what you say, either, but, when the "discussion" is over, it's over.
When Doc makes a statement like the one about the Constitution, it displays to me one of two things:
1. a complete lack of thought about making ridiculous comments, or,
2. he really does believe it; in which case he really is a whacko
Do you agree with his statement?
As to the "liberal obnoxiousness" --
If you think that I'm obnoxious because I'm sick of going over the same old ground about the president's birthplace, etc., you have that right. But when someone makes absurd statements like the one about the Constitution and then regresses to the muckraking crap that the birthers espouse, yeah, I get a little upset about massive stupidity, and I will attack it ruthlessly. My country is based on the Constitution, and when someone makes a jackass statement like that, he has taken off the gloves, as far as I am concerned. Whoever jumps in the fray to defend that kind of vacuous thinking will suffer by contact.
He admitted that he comes here occasionally to bring things to light. He brings nothing to light. All he does is bring crap back that we've gone over in this forum many time before. He doesn't have a clue about what the dynamics of this forum are, but he ignorantly butts in, drops a load, and is gone.
If he comes here to take another mental dump, I'll be here to greet him.
He chooses to come here, and he chooses to post in the "unmoderated" part of the forum.
Let him defend himself -- if he can. Otherwise, he should choose another part of the forum in which to post

I don't get the logic behind either of your comments.
Isn't the point of putting oneself out in the marketplace of ideas - i.e.: a forum etc. - to test the validity of one's positions by receiving arguments for and
against one's positions?
I suggest that if that's not the case, then I agree with FTW - you're nothing but a spammer - and simply trying to shove an 'opinion' down everyone's throat. I also see it in a similar light if one cannot - or will not - defend the positions they espouse.

Just another dumb, southern redneck making the rounds. Bush won running as one, even though he was an ivy league son of privilege (and a son of a bitch) just playing a cowboy/redneck on TV. Palin will run as a hick outsider and get plenty of votes, but will never win unless she has a hack publicist like rove working her. The NASCAR trailer crowd are easily duped (or the WWE would just be the backyard sideshow that it really is and not the mega-million scam, like their churches, that is has become).

No, what's illogical is being a blind follower and thinking they're right just b/c you like what they say.
There is too much evidence to deny Obama's legitimacy. Anyone that doesn't believe it is a nut bag. That's all there is to it. Nut bags are bline.
Article II, Section 1 of the Constitution of the United States states, "No person except a natural born citizen of the United States shall be eligible to the Office of the President."
If this is the law of the land, why is President Barack Obama hiding all references to much of his past, and why has he never produced his birth certificate?
In fact, a study from the United States Justice Foundation has released information showing that Obama has spent upwards of $950,000 in campaign funds with 11 law firms in 12 states for legal resources to block disclosure of any of his personal records. Gary Kreep of that foundation stated that the investigation is still going on and the final report will be provided to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. Holder has refused to comment.
Does anyone expect an answer from Obama's appointees? The question is, "How will they attempt to delay and cover up this debacle?"
Britain's Daily Mail carried the story in a front page article, "Obama Eligibility Questioned." When asked for a comment in London when he was meeting with Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Obama just smiled and refused to make any further comments.
Another group, Americans for Freedom of Information, have released copies of Obama's college transcripts from Occidental College. The transcript showed that Obama, under the name of Barry Soetoro, received financial aid as a foreign student from Indonesia as an undergraduate at the school. The transcript was given by Occidental College in compliance with a court order in a suit brought by a group in the Superior Court of California. The transcript states that "Obama (under the name of Soetoro) applied for financial aid and was awarded a fellowship for foreign students from the Fulbright Scholarship program. To qualify, a student must claim foreign citizenship.
Along with evidence that Obama was born in Kenya, there is no record of him ever applying for U.S. citizenship. His appointees and czars are in panic at the White House, and they are casting further doubts about Obama's legitimacy's and qualifications to serve as president.

It does not matter where he was born, or where his father was from. Mom was a US citizen, so Obama is
automatically a US citizen. We learned that about citizenship in grade school.
Birth certificates only show where someone was born, and who the parents were. You can be born anywhere
and still be a natural born US citizen thanks to one or both of your parents.
That is true. My mom was born in Japan.

With all of the computers, the internet and access to state records, besides search engines. You still don't think Obama is an American citizen you must be trying to pull someones leg or you are retarded. I think some people have with Obama is that top !/4 inch of skin, Black. He 50% white, he was raised by a white mother and a white grandmother who loved him and helped him get the finest education money can buy. George W. couldn't have got into Yale, if George 42 hadn't bought his way in. Come on Birthers, GIVE A BREAK!

Then why does the BC Obama made available not contain the name of the Hospital on it. And (i think, not 100% sure) the Freedom of Information Act would at least allow the name of the hospital.

Because maybe, just maybe, the name of the hospital was not required where that certificate was issued. Get over it, his mother was a citizen, so he is too.

on the other hand, He is the President, and he was voted in..despite a technicality...(IF it was true)...the damage is done (for those of us who feel there is damage beign done)...lets concentrate on the American process vote in a person we want...I still believe we have the best process in the world...it has it's problems but I think we are on the verge of fixing a lot of things...Americans are more awake "politically" now than the last few decades....

I really don't know what the outcome of the HCB will be. It certainly is bought and paid for by the insurance/financial sector through congress. Would I blame obama for the outcome? Not sure, but seems no one is able to fight the kind of money the insurance/financial sector holds, now, and I blame raygun and just about everyone else, ever since they flipped manufacturing vs financials as THE gov't investment strategy. 'Birthers' Who Keep Asking About Obama's Birth Certificate May Get Cut OffQuoteTaking direct aim at the "birthers" who keep insisting that despite evidence to the contrary they don't believe President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii, lawmakers there have sent a bill to the governor that "lets any Hawaii department ignore repeated requests for information from the same person -- if the department already has responded within a year," The Honolulu Advertiser reports.
That would give the state's Health Department the OK to turn down multiple requests from the same person -- something that officials say happens often.
By the way, if you want to see how the Health Department handles all the requests, it has put an FAQ page here.
And among the statements the department has put out is this, issued last July, from Director Chiyome Fukino, a Republican:
"I, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, Director of the Hawai'i State Department of Health, have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawai'i State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen. I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago."
FactCheck.org is one organization that has "seen, touched, examined and photographed the original birth certificate." That non-partisan organization's conclusion: "Obama was born in the U.S.A. just as he has always said."

I have lived in fear with thoughts of the damage an inexperienced, lying, leftist-ideologue can do to our nation ever since 0 Bama's core beliefs slipped out. If not held in check through free elections, we can lose all we have worked and died for over the years.
No matter who he decides to be this week (he changes so much who can keep up) the one consistant quality is how he has turned out to be an inexperienced follower of his socialist senior congressional far leftys and certainly no leader of the free world. He cannot tell the difference between what looks good on paper and works on the ground, lacks common sense and simply cannot distinguish fact from fiction. His narcissistic pride aids him in completely disregarding the truth. His only asset, his charisma, is failing him. The man of many names fooled some of the people and got him elected, but not now. This is his undoing.
How can anyone be comforted at the thought of having him at the helm. Fortunately, he is no card player either. 0 Bama showed his hand before all bets were on the table. He kisses the babies to steal the candy out of their mouth.

There is no doubt Obama is a US citizen. I think the question is - Is he a natural born citizen? Regardless, I think there are much more important issues to worry about. My latest concern is that I understand the Obama administration has declared a war on potatoes. I hear they want to greatly reduce the amount of potatoes that are serve in school lunches. Why pick on the lowly potato, a poor vegetable that is born and lives its youth under ground? If they want to target an evil vegetable why don't they go after okra?

MY people skills are of par or better than yours. As far as the housewife statement, "You can't make a whore into a housewife has been around for more than, at least 100 years. This statement was not made by elementary school children, it was made by adults. Where in hell do you think I first heard it. I sure didn't hear it at school. I think I heard it in a Christian church. Yeah, that's where I heard it, at a fire and brimstone revival.
I think your sensitivity is really misplaced. Making an issue about an old statement. Then making gutter remarks about union people, poor people and Obama. You are definitely a unusual person Sweetie Pie,
I guess I should have just considered the source and moved on but for you to jump my ass for asking a question is a bit over the top IMO.
