Careful. You might be "attacted" for it.

Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

How about 56% of Americans OPPOSE this bill....http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/healthcare/september_2009/health_care_reform

How about 56% of those Americans polled. . . I wonder what percentage of " those Americans" are presently employed and have health care coverage?

I have healthcoverage........I am NOT opposed to HC reform at all........I am concerned about spending TRILLIONS on redoing EVERYONES HC....along with issues such as abortion coverage and the fact, who is actually going to pay for it.

2000 pages of BS, lets get this thing RIGHT.

Don't bring in religious beliefs surrounding health care. The fact is you have a choice to have the procedure or not based upon those beliefs. That is how it should be. Period.

The original bill does not "redo" everyone's health care! Unless of course you have some fly by night insurance carrier who skimps on coverage, excludes coverage due to pre existing conditions or some other nefarious tripe that they love to pull. In fact if anything it improves your current coverage by requiring them to pay for diagnostic testing, as they previously did, and disallowing the current practice of applying it toward your deductible.

It forces smaller businesses to provide tiers of coverage based upon the size of the company and its ability to pay, and penalizes them if they do not. (Hence the public option which would be provided to those whose employers do not provide coverage, in part). ~(IMHO this is a portion that is sorely needed in this country and yet I fully expect it to be sliced right out of the legislation).

I am sure most insurance companies will then over-react with a typical knee-jerk hike to premiums, but should this transpire my expectation is that it will bring a swift reaction from government in the form of regulation of the industry to prevent it; a key point the insurance industry had better be mindful of!

It is time for these morons to come down from their ivory towers and mingle with the regular folks, and if they won't do so willingly and adjust their annual operating plans to accommodate these changes, then let the beatings begin!

It is time to accentuate quality of life verses quantity, and the sooner we all get this the sooner we can get back to the business of living our lives; and stop yapping about it! We've already spent 233 years giving this thing nothing but lip service. Nothing but talk, no action; while millions have died a needless and untimely death.

You know Henry, maybe you believe you are perfectly happy with your coverage right now, and perhaps in reality you are; but wait until your body begins aging and you reach the period in life where your systems start requiring some attention. THAT is when you are going to find out how happy you really are. When you start having to shell out $475.00 every three months to have a phlebotomist draw blood for a quarterly chemscreen. When you have to shell out 200 bucks a month in co-pays for the drugs you need to help your circulatory challenges, maintain your blood pressure, or regulate your heart rate or cholesterol levels. Above and beyond the premiums you already pay each pay period.

Same goes for your spouse, and then your children as they begin having to have medical attention due to sports injuries, or other medical challenges.

You only are happy now because odds are you are not really using your medical coverage very much. But when you really start using it you'll see the big picture in a hurry. . . 30-40% of your income or more can and will start being diverted toward health care costs; between premiums, medicines, co-pays, and outstanding bills at medical institutions related to health events that your insurance will not cover. That is the reality for those currently covered by a majority of plans right now. For those that do not have coverage the picture is even bleaker.
