by market driven i meant the actual marketplace of supply/demand.  you said the price was "stock" driven, and i agreed with you, because that is not the same thing at all.  sometimes you can make money by having your stock fall, henry, depending on the positions that you take on other commodities and options.  remember that no-one who is a board member or dividend holding stockowner of any oil corporation, is ONLY invested in the oil business.  that's always beeb a recognized problem with the stockmarket, it can be manipulated.
