I noticed a ring on top of his head this morning, and I'm afraid he may have ringworm.  :spooked: I've never seen ringworm before, so I'm not sure. I do know it's contagious to humans though.  :spooked: He had earmites at the time of his surgery, but he was too young to be treated for them. His ears look awful pink, so I'm going to try to get an appointment at the vet's office, and get him in (hopefully) tomorrow. *fingers crossed* I also did some checking about ringworm, and my heart sank. I guess cats that are Feline Leukemia positive ,and have suppressed immune systems usually get ringworm. Now, I'm really scared he has it.  :'( Good God!!!! What's next?

I hope it's nothing serious. I don't know how much more of this stuff I can take.

Yeah, it's contagious to humans too!!! I don't know how he got it, because none of the other cats have it.

Baby Dexter has an appointment at the vets tomorrow. I'm hoping he can be tested for Feluke. If it's negative, I hope he's old enough for his shots. I've been really worried about the Feluke, because Dudley has it, and of course Dexter is extremely drawn to him.

Baby Dexter had his vets appointment yesterday. They took a culture of his bald spot, and they think it is probably ringworm. I've never had any experience with that. The vet gave him his first shots, wormed him, and gave me a bunch of medicine to give him. I even had to go to Walgreen's, to get one of his prescriptions filled. I didn't even know they sold animal grade medication at Walgreen's. It was pretty cheap actually, I was pleasantly surprised. Looks like he's going to be getting a bath in special shampoo 3 times a week, for the forseeable future. GOOD TIMES!!!  He's sill too young to be tested for Feluke. I have to continue keeping him away from Dudley Boy. That is a chore in and of itsself. They are very drawn to each other.

They don't give him a vaccination for that? or does he need to be tested first?

I guess that's debatable. He's too young to be tested. So, if he got the shot before we know it could show a false positive. At this point if they tested him it could show a false negative when they test him. My vet thinks we should wait until he's 6 MONTHS OLD to test him.  :spooked: :spooked:   I think I'll die from stress before that!!! I worry about him constantly. Hubby thinks I'm obsessed with Dexter's well being. I'm very much so. Monday Champy will be gone a year.  :'( I'm sooooo glad I don't have to work that day. I'm sure it will be a very sad day. On anniversaries of some events, I tend to think back, and get very depressed.  :'( Last weekend Hubby and I discussed plans for her memorial garden.

I thought this might be a good place to ask this question. LOL What type of litter do you buy?

We were in the cat section looking at all of the different cat products and it dawned on me that I don't have a clue what works the best. I told my daughter that we'd buy a big box of Fresh Step this time and that I'd ask Dex later. She said, "Who's Dex" and I said, "A cat expert on the forum". LOL  She knew what I was talking about because she knows what the forum is.

LOL!!!!  When did you get a kitty? I recently switched cat liters. Right now, I'm using Arm and Hammer Super Scoop. It seems to control odors the best. It has baking soda in it. It's a little higher in price than the other stuff I've used, but I hate to smell the liter box. So, it's worth it.

Gotcha! Thanks for the advice. I don't like the odors either and definitely wanted the clump/scoopable stuff to make it easier for Lil' Mojo to keep it clean.

She's looking a lil' freaked out there. I'll get more pictures soon...now that she's home. I just hope she grows into those ears. :spooked:

I like the scoopable kind too.  I have 6 adult cats and 4 that are 8 weeks old.  Scoopable is the way to go.  I usually buy the Walmart brand.  but I also like Tidy Cats.

I used to use Special Kitty scoopable. It didn't have the odor control that Arm and Hammer does.
