Here is a tip. Sharing your Christian beliefs will cause others to call you jugemental. Why? To take the focus off their own wrong doings.

If someone tells you something you are doing is wrong it won't bother you unless you have a guilty conscience or need positive reinforcement b/c deep down you know you are wrong and it makes you angry to be reminded.    :poke:

Moved from the other thread:

Getting to my point of this thread.....I am very honored to be a Christian.  My relationship with God over the last eight years has carried me through many hard times.  By His grace, I have been given the confidence to turn to Him and through His word, been given the wisdom to respond to some very difficult times in my life.  He has given me the wisdom and love to care for my five children.  To be the husband of a wonderful woman.  To work at a place that I adore.

I, do not deserve anything from this God, but He, by His Grace, gave me so much more.  I do not, by a long shot, do nearly enough to come close to paying the tribute to Him that He deserves.  He simply asks, for me (or anyone and everyone) to believe in Him. Nothing more, nothing less....and yet, He deserves more than we can ever give to Him.

Well, that is about all I have at this time.......this is going to be my place to share from time to time what God is doing for me in my life.....to anybody that gives a hoot, it will be here to share.....and if anybody would like to share what the Lord is doing for them.....please feel free to unload here.....

To my forum family, just know that Henry loves you all......as does God.

then gee whiz, wally, how could it be a bad thing to convert everyone on the planet to christianity, and kill those who vehemently oppose the conversion?

I know that I'm not the only Christian on here...

I'm asking all Christians that read this, to pray that we some how honor Him through our time on here....In the name of Jesus...

BEG

Hey, CWM, are you checking out the daily devotionals I'm posting in the Church Lady's section?
I'm hoping these will be uplifting to all Christians - what do ya think?
Life is a test,
Life is a trust.

Moved from the first thread:

I too am a Christian and proud of it, Henry.  I have grown to love the Lord, and I am not ashamed to admit that either.  I know that He loves me in spite of myself, and I am very thankful for that.

Your words are too kind Cookie, and I appreciate them my friend, but, I do feel that I am still very far from where I should be. I will continue to keep trying to "climb that ladder", because I can see much imperfection in myself. And when I fail, I hope that my friends, will make me aware of that failing, so that I can do more to be even better.

It is not an easy thing to do, to admit being a Christian to everyone. In doing so, you place yourself "under a microscope", for all those who question what you claim, to examine your life with intense scrutiny, to see if what you say really means anything. If what they see in us, is no different from what they see in them, then what's the point, when there is really no difference? If those who question your beliefs, see you "talk" one thing, and then "walk" another, then they will be even less likely to accept or even listen to what we say. Now if they examine us and see that we are "walking the talk" (or at least honestly trying to), then they may actually listen to what we have to say, instead of just blowing us off as hypocrites who don't even care about what they claim themselves. It is a big responsibility that should NOT be taken lightly by us as Christians, because we are ambassadors for Christ, and what others see in us, WILL impact their thoughts about Jesus.

Have a great day my friends and know that you are loved!
Something to Consider! God Bless!
