The saddest part of shingles is that if you've ever had chicken-pox, then the virus that causes it is already in your system. All it takes is something to make it bloom and you're stricken with it.

And it can be horrible. I had the chicken-pox at the age of 10, and I had it really bad. They were even on the soles of my feet; I was covered in them.

That causes me to assume that when I get hit with shingle, it too will be really bad.  :spooked:

My co-worker recently had a bout with shingles.  He's only 31, surprised us all.

My father had shingles bad about 2 years ago. There is an old wive's tale that if it goes all around you that it will kill you. He really thought he was going to die from them.

Now I know "ME" will find a justification for this.  But Walmart is closing down 150 of it's stores in small towns.  Now these are the small town which had their small mom and pop stores  and  other small business closed down because of them.  Now these people have no where to shop or buy things.  This is one of the many reasons I don't shop at Walmart.  They are the finest example of predatory capitalism, worshiping the bottom line and making they super rich.

I heard all of those WalMart closings are going to put 14 cashiers out of work.

269 stores. In the U.S., it is 102 Walmart Express stores, 6 discount centers, 12 Supercenters, 23 Neighborhood Markets, 4 Sam's and 7 Amigo Stores in Puerto Rico.
I don't know about some of the towns that Walmart is closing in but some of the towns are big towns but I hate Walmart.

About 8 years ago they wanted to put a Walmart in about 5 miles from where I lived.  There was already one less than five miles away.  Fortunately, a lot of people fought it and the township refused to give them permission to build it. There were very few people who wanted Walmart to come in. I hate Walmart, too.

Our town has been fighting in court for years to keep them out.

I recently went to a Walmart in Apex NC, and it was the absolutely nicest Walmart I have ever been too. It was in a very nice neighborhood, and was extremely clean.  Nothing remotely close to the Anderson, IN Walmart, which I find outrageously disgusting.

What did the customers look like, HH?  Did they look better than the typical Walmart "I wear my dirty old pajamas out" customers?

NO! That was what was amazing about it........it was all "normal" looking folks.  Apex and Cary are upper scale neighborhoods.

Anderson is the epitome of the typical walmart shopper that you see on the internet........I think half those pictures are from there.... ;D

I guess in an upscale neighborhood they should be a bit more "normal".  At least I hope they would be!

The thing that is chapping my hide this day is a symptom of the almighty Koporation worship going on within this nation's government.

Each one of you needs to hope that your parents, siblings, or even you yourselves, never have to be admitted to an "elder care facility".

Unless you are independently wealthy, you will be starved, abused, left to sit in your urine and excrement for hours and days, and subjected to mental and physical abuse that in some cases makes the Nazi Concentration camps look like kindergarden.

Pensions; gone. Medicare payments; ass wipe to these places. Your soul; a steaming pile of shit sitting in the middle of the dining room table.

This is criminal!

Death Panels? They're not coming! They've been around this nation for decades before the ACA. They're senior care facilities!
