I see YOU, scared shitless over Christians.....and religion.

Before you judge, you should reflect upon yourself.

You're damn right!  All you religious mo'fos' scare me.  These ISIS zealots are trying to bring about the apocalypse.  If you check the last book of your Bible, you'll find you have an end of the world scenario that's strikingly similar in the story line.   You also have just as many Christians who believe that's literally going to happen at some point in the future.

Spot on and I couldn't agree more.

When you get right down to it, all ISIS is doing is implementing the Christian equivalent of Old Testament Law upon the masses, taking as much civilization as they can along for the ride.

I dare say that should this nation ever actually declare itself officially a Christian Nation, we will then see the start of the countdown wherein a sect of their own zealots will be running around doing the very same things in this country.

Christianity somewhere along the way, after it's "Crusades", witch hunts, torturing and genocide, all in the name of GAWD and in an effort to convert the "heathens" (Infidels), eventually learned they could not overpower the military might of the times and the will of the individuals as a whole. So they drummed up the canonization process to bolster their ability to at least lord it over the sheeple via brainwashing and scare tactics.

Now we see the modern day version of this historic idiocy materialize via ISIS and the Muslim faith. They are simply killing everyone that does not conform or submit to the old ways of their religion. (One that includes Jesus within it's apocalyptic screenplay).

Christians will eventually do the very same things in this world if provided with the opportunity. No doubt in my mind.

And as a point of order, the CURRENT "vetting process", already in place and functioning, takes 18-24 months to be completed. . . Just how many of these refugees do you think will still be alive after such a waiting period? And people have been pouring in legally, via this process for years now. . . How many of them are terrorists? How many of them have executed mass shootings, bombings, etc. in this nation to date?

Point being, you can vet until the apocalypse is over and you still will not filter those with nefarious intention 100% out.

How would you view things if ISIS were HERE, in this nation, in this state, and in this city, doing what they are doing, and you and your loved ones just wanted to cross the boarder into Mexico or Canada, and THEY said no? They demanded you wait up to 2 years or longer before you can come into their country.

As Christianity is so fond of asking, "What would Jesus do?" (NOT what the bulk of his self-professed faithful are endorsing this day, that is for sure).

And therein exists the key argument against all of this religious rancor. Hypocrisy. . . Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, you name it. You are ALL the same. . .

Show me where he tells CHRISTIANS to kill all unbelievers................SHOW ME....I will be waiting where he tells CHRISTIANS to do these things.

You so-called critical thinkers piss me off.  Not that Troll is a critical thinker by ANY stretch......but you say shit like this and are willing to believe THAT is what Christians think...and are ruining the universe.

I'm not saying that Locutus and PH don't have some excellent points of view regarding religions. I understand and even agree on some of your points.  We have 'zealots' who are nutjobs, imo.

On the same hand, how can you be down on people who give million/billions of dollars to aid the "least of these"... all in the name of Christ.  Christian people who travel the Globe to help others.  Christian Doctors who go to some of the worst places on earth to heal the sick.  Everyday Christians, who work food banks, homeless shelters, foster parenting and on and on and on.

I think you over-exaggerate how the average church-going, bible-reading Christian family is.

Nope I couldn't imagine a time where I could be confused with people wanting to cut the heads off of people they don't like.  I can't imagine a time where I could be confused with someone who would put a vest with bombs on and walk into a taco bell and kill as many as I could....in the name of Jesus.  I think your argument is not a good one.

I see nothing what-so-ever, the tiniest amount wrong that we should put the brakes on taking in the refugees from Syria.  We live in a time where we must be cautious.  Protecting American citizens should be first and foremost.

I bet you any amount of money, there are thousands of American Christians who are eager to bring some of these folks into there homes.  I bet you there are thousands of Christians who are ready to give money to aid some of these folks.  It is not like the secularists are better by any stretch when it comes to humanity.

To those Christians who take time to understand the Word of God, we know that He was not speaking literally, but rather in a parable. I think YOU know this too.

No sir, it is not cowardice at all.  It is called being responsible.  There are other ways we can be humanitarian other than bringing in thousands of people we know nothing about.

Would you let people you do not know in your house with your family?  I don't think you would.  I don't think anybody is being unfair or unrealistic.  Lets just slow this down, and don't make a fatal mistake.

Which part of, "if someone worships another god, you should kill him by stoning him to death," is a parable?

par·a·ble
noun
a simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson, as told by Jesus in the Gospels

Did you miss the part about more than a quarter million people arriving here on international airline flights every day?  How are they different and why wouldn't potential terrorists simply buy a plane ticket if they want to come here (like all of those before them have done)?

QuoteWould you let people you do not know in your house with your family?

Only because it would be fun to watch my dog saw them in half.

It isn't worth getting into a lengthy debate over, I'm not going change your mind, but YOU know, you cannot take on sentence or paragraph out of the bible without reading the whole intent that was set up by several other verses that led up to that verse.  The Old Testament set up the New Testament, for Gods ultimate message.

You just cannot buy a ticket and come to the United States.  Unless you are on the Mexican Border then you can sneak in because we are too stupid to put up a fence or proper security.
But you know damn well those so-called quarter million people do NOT just buy a ticket and come in to our country.  The Homeland Security and Customs Dept, do a background check before being granted access to enter.

Then why wouldn't it be equally as funny to watch people who are NOT invited in to this country to be sawed in half?  It is okay for YOU to protect YOUR stuff, but NOT for our Country to protect ITS stuff?

Not a parable; it says what it says.  I love how you people pick and choose which parts should be taken literally and which parts shouldn't.  Admitting it's all bullshit seems so much easier.

Not even the slightest, am I concerned about soiling my drawers.......I'm not the one who is worried about Christians. Better sick you dog on them...to keep you safe.

It really bothers you that some people have faith.  I kind of feel sorry for you that you get your panties all stuck up your crawl because of this.

You're so right about this, Ex.  I have a friend who is convinced I'll come back to Jesus (I've recently realized how foolish belief in god and the Bible is, let alone religion in general) and we talk about the Bible.  I've asked him how we know which parts should be taken literally and which parts shouldn't  and he answered "we just know".  He also knows there is a god because he "feels it" and nature proves it, too.  If I ever ask him questions that challenge his belief and make him see the absurdity of it, he quickly changes the subject or doesn't answer me.

Poor old :sinner: Henry, he don't know what to believe.   He sure hasn't read the bible much.  Hey Henry, how about what god :ghost: told some of his believers?  He :ghost: told the men that if there was not enough women in their tribe, go our and invade another tribe and kill all of the men,  kill all women who are not virgins and bring back the virgins to their tribe and marry them.      How about that, cold blooded murder for *****.  These guys couldn't make out in a whore house.  :haha:  :haha:

I look at religion as a personal thing. What I believe is my belief only and so it is wrong of me to shove my religion down anyone's throat. I also hope that I am open to accept all.faiths. I have a friend who is a Satanist, not really my cup of tea in religious aspects butbwe get along and she is a very interesting person to talk too.

I agree. Religion is a personal thing. I don't have any Satanist friends, but I do seem to attract some interesting people, I guess because 99% of the time I just listen, and because I'm not judgmental, it's sometimes stunning what people tell me.
