All my sympathy. Gout and diarrhea! If you still have the diarrhea, I can offer my swear by remedy. Have your wife get you some Metamucil. I  learned about its value regarding loose stools from working for a group of internists, one of whom was a gastroenterologist, so had some on hand when I found myself alone and miserable on a holiday weekend. I had some kind of 'bug' that caused my temperature to go up to 102, so drove myself to a local walk in clinic where the doctor gave me an antibiotic. I had a very strong reaction to it (diarrhea) so I stopped the antibiotic and then, while I could still think straight remembered I had some Metamucil and mixed some in a big glass of water (the orange flavor is best). It slowed down the diarrhea almost immediately, and I finally managed to shower and crawl in bed and get some sleep. I honestly don't remember much after that, except that I slept a lot. The following Tuesday (Monday was a holiday) I saw my own doctor. She agreed with my home treatment, gave me a different antibiotic and suggested I eat yogurt.

When i was a child, I had the middle finger on my left hand slammed in the front door of the house by my younger sister. I lost that nail and as a result my fingers look differently. . . Or have until today. . .

Today I was attempting to grab my dog's collar to control him while opening the front door to my home.

Apparently my middle finger and buried it nail into the leading edge of the collar, and as my dog lunged forward it ripped my fingernail from my finger about 2/3 of the way down. . .

It hurts like a mother#%*#er and bled like one too. . . I see losing this fingernail in my future. . . So now maybe they will match by the time I lay down for the long dirt nap!  :mad:

Was the outage caused by the wreck by Whetstone Church? Our friend lives out that way and lost his internet and cable most of the night.
