Exterminator

Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

Bad Locutus...bad bad bad..... :coffee:

A young life guard was fired for saving a drowning mans life.  Why was he fired, he stepped outside of his zone that his company controlled.  Violating one of the company's rules.  7 other life guard have quit or violated that rule and were dismissed.  The company had to get other guards from other areas they control.  I think the company should be fired.

It was the same thing with my son being fired from Lowes because he step into a safety zone without a climbing belt to save some of Lowe's $400 to $600 inside doors.  No second chance no warning just terminated.  I don't shop lowes anymore.  The bastards.

Ya that was pretty sorry about that life guard.  I understand he left his post but if he hadn't and the person had drowned the family would have probably sued the company and him and won.  He was sunk any way he went.  I haven't heard anyone say they agreed with the company on what they did and I certainly don't.  I think the life guard should have been thanked not fired.

I don't think he lost, he save a life doing what a real human being does.  He will be rewarded in some way and I'll bet the job is better and better paying.  This company will lose in the long run.  I hope they are investigated, for wrongful work practices.

I don't think they are wrongful work practices for all intents and purposes I just think they made a poor judgement call on this one.  If he had gone to the other area and nothing was wrong I could understand what they did but in this case he had a valid reason.  What I meant about his being a loser either way he went was if he hadn't gone a life would have been lost and he and the company would most probably have been sued and since he went and saved a life he got fired from his job.  He definitely made the right choice and is, in my eyes, a winner for doing so.  I did not mean he was a loser I meant the situation he found himself in was a no win situation he just went with the decision that made the most sense and saved a life.

It just go to show you a company doesn't have any morals or conscience when it comes to money.  Morals or compassion in now they treat people, when it comes to the bottom line, money.

When I owned a company and had a Million dollar insurance policy to help me in case I was sues.  I would sure have tried to save some ones life than sit back and watch that person die.

But you are a defender of the corporations no matter now cold blooded they are.  When  it come to money, just watch them die.  :dead:

It bring to mind a private fire department in the South just a few years a go.   A man and his wife had missed their fire  protection payment.  Their house caught on fire.  The fire company arrived and watch the house burn down laughing all the way.  They were there to keep one of their paying customer house next to the fire from burning down.     Now I call that compassion.  But then that's how predatory capitalism works.  Just look at Mitt.

Now that's Republican cold blooded cruel.
