Well my hiatus from risking exposure to faux news is over! Dtv and tribune reached an agreement and the blackout has ended. Damn!

Got a little question for you.  Should our tax dollars go to parents who choose to send their children to a private or a religious school. :preach:  :pope:

I say we should not, I don't want my tax money to pay for children to get brain washed in the smoke and mirrors of a phony religion.  We already have enough of religious fools in this country.

  What do you think.  Hummmmm?

i sent three children to private school.  i paid every dime. uniforms, books, tuitions, trips,  special sports, events, costumes when needed.  i donated to every sale times three for 12 years.  we got nothing from anyone, with the exception of some awesome grandmas that bought the little junk they sold.
if you want your kid to have an education in the private school arena, get out your wallet.

all three went to college, all three graduated and have good incomes now.

but other family members have kids who went to public schools, and they went to college also, and have good incomes.

it isnt so much that private school makes smarter kids, it is really that the kids are from a less diverse background, and that worked for us.  we lived in a huge metropolitan area, and it was in our comfort zone to have our kids attend a school that was smaller and had less restrictive government regulations.  I would add, too that the school we sent our kids to did not take vouchers for enrollment through government.

call me a snob if you want to, but i gave my kids life, and i was determined to make sure they had the best chances and superior choices in education and standards.
everyone doesnt feel that way, and i respect that.  we never discussed it their schooling at family functions because we were sensitive to the fact that others could not afford to do what we were doing.   bet there were some discussions about it without us tho.

Thank you, you did good.  I'm glad your children did well and I'm glad the public school kids did well.  But when you boil down schooling, its really the parents and the environment at home and the attention the parent give the children in life and education will depend 95%of the time will determine how the young boys and girls turn out.  :salute:

Ask the Pharmacist, in some stores they are the ones ordering the OTC items.  Who knows it may have taken off the market.  Maybe if you take it too long you stomach will drop out.

Yeah I saw that, but one would think it would not impact OTC formulations. . . Guess not. . .

Do we really need to see and listen to the minutia surrounding the State Fair Collapse trial? I'd really like to see the weather sometime before dark!  >:(

Nope; the highest winds recorded that night were 59 MPH which the structure should have been easily able to withstand had it been properly anchored.  The report is citing an "inadequate lateral system;" the anchors are what provide that lateral support.  Mid-America Sound is on the hook for this one.
