Well hell. . . For about 2 years before I sold my boat, each year I paid for the renewal sticker and put it  on the old one still on the trailer. I looked for it everywhere, the new plate, and never found it. It was something to make me sweat every time I trailered the boat. . . but I figured it'd turn up eventually. Today, it did. . .

I was cleaning out an old desk that we are giving to some friends in order to make room for the new baby nursery. (Yeah, the home office is going in order to make room for babies). Anyway, I didn't find it in the desk. But once I got done sorting through that stuff I decided to go through some items in the "office closet" in order to downsize that crap as well.

I found an old book bag I used in college and thought, crap I may as well keep this, (its leather), but what the hell is in it? I sorted through a bunch of old papers, research notes, etc. and when I unzipped a pocket on the outside, (a really big one), inside I found the unopened letter in which they mail you your new plates. . .

And with its discovery came the return of the memory surrounding how and why it ended up there. We were prepping for the move to the new house, and the day it came I was REALLY busy packing. I recall thinking to myself that I'd just put it in there and once we moved to the new house and got settled in I'd retrieve it and put it on the trailer. . . Yeah. . . like I was going to remember where the hell I put it after all the confusion that comes along with a move!!!!!!!!!

Well, at least I have another plate to add to the mancave wall now!

Actually, that might be kinda cool. The ghosts have always been my favorite characters in that story.

I think every last one of you with a job needs to work 7 days a week during the whole month of December this year. ALL holidays should be abolished as well, making every day, including Sunday a regularly scheduled work day.

The country needs the additional revenues that will be generated by your doing so, to help pay for the Republican agenda of no!

if we keep on spending money like the democrats are we will have to work 12 hours a day / 7 days a week to ever get out of this POS mess that the dems agenda of SPEND-SPEND-SPEND!!!!  QUIT SPENDING! then maybe we can say YES once in a while.

Kind of like at home....my kids want this and want that....but, I gotta say NO, because of being responsible....then when my kids are sick and really NEEDS something, I can say YES, to things that are going to make them better.

Unemployment benefits cannot create jobs......it is only a bandaid.  WE got to fix this "wound" once and for all....

I don't want that to sound un compassionate, and I (inside) want them to extend these benefits, but how many more times can we afford to do this?....we have got to stop the bleeding once and for all.  I can speak for ALL republicans that we do not want anybody to lose their house or anything bad to happen to anybody.  WE AMERICANS, have got to quit politics and fix this!
It starts with QUIT SPENDING MORE.....figure out our priorieties and spend wisely.

This country cannot afford NOT to extend these benefits! Unless of course you WANT to see 20-30 million MORE foreclosures, and even larger negative flow to state, federal, and municipal revenue streams, and rampant homelessness, death, and starvation for 90 million American citizens and their families over the course of the ensuing winter. . .

Failing to extend unemployment is going to be a death sentence to THAT many American people and their families who are depending upon it. But I guess with them being dead by the time the next election rolls around they are now meaningless to those who control the reins of power and those working and not having to depend upon this vital lifeline.

Then 90 million less individuals will be contributing to the economy, prices will rise even quicker than they are now, across the board, and the cycle will repeat itself as the problem encompasses those not presently being impacted by it.

I agree that spending needs to be controlled, but a knee jerk reaction like cutting off unemployment funding is irresponsible and should not even be in consideration for ANYONE who truly cares about the longevity of this nation. That they are using it as a lever in such an economy speaks very loudly to the greed and selfishness of those in power in this nation. Sooner, rather than later, this will enrage the majority of those left and government itself will fall because of this.

I find it ironic that for such a supposedly large "xtian" nation, those in power fail to consider the words of their deity in Matthew 25:40 - . . ."Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

And just why is that? Because it does not serve their purpose nor feed their greed!

I shutter to think what this country would be like now, if it had not been for the Billions of $$ that Christians give to the needy, homeless, orphans and the down and out.  Just because many, of us Americans, who call ourselves Christians, do not think it is the Government's place to decide WHO get's help and WHO doesn't, does not mean we are turning our backs on anybody.....

Do you have any real idea how much money, missinonaries, and good work that is done in this country due to people who call themselves Christians?

I got news for you...THAT is the way it is SUPPOSED to work.....NOT via Government, but by neighbor helping neighbor....communty churches at one time did exactly that......
