It was so bad travelers with children had to pull over to the side of the road and walk their kids to the tree-line to let them go potty.

  There are a lot of idiots working for the state of Indiana and I think the highway department has more than it share.  You ought to see what they did to my town.  You just can't fix stupid.

and not to hi-jack this thread, but THAT is an example of WHY I do not like "most" GOVERNMENT programs....and NOW, we will have that same "can't fix stupid" attitude in our Health Care...

Oh really?....why did we just spend a tillion (tax payers $$) on a HC BILL?...it is loaded with federal subsidies toward the purchase of private health insurance...putting control of HC into a gov ran buearcracy...and enforcing laws stating that everyone must purchase health insurance or face an annual fine, or worse...it is without a doubt shifting the powers from the private industry to BIG GOV!!..how many more time does it have to be said?.....like I have been saying all along, the truth IS going to come out sooner or later, with all of this BC.

What is wrong with everyone in this country having health insurance? What is wrong with ensuring that those at an economical disadvantage through no fault of their own, are provided with the medical care they need? What is wrong with reining in those who take advantage of every single one of us at a time when we are the weakest?

The government is not going to run healthcare, but rather regulate it and make it readily available to all that require it. There is a HUGE difference in what is being done and the lies you are spreading. That you cannot see it is very disturbing!

Now, as for Afghanistan I believe I have the solution to the worlds problems there.

Send every single one of our troops over there, every last man and woman, and give them only White Castle Hamburgers and onion chips to eat for 30 days. They'll produce enough shit and methane to drive every single insurgent out of the mountains and into range of the rectum rockets that will be flying out of our military's asses!

Send the entire squadron of helicopters overhead with soldiers ready to unload, and have them hang their asses out of the side doors and fire at will. The resulting mudslide of shit will envelope the bastards and they'll either run or drown. And when they wipe their asses let them throw the TP right out into the prop wash so the clouds of skidmarked paper will rain down upon them.

Inside of 30 days that country will be so full of white castle shit that NO ONE will ever want to go near it ever again. . .

This morning the corporate manager and I spent 90 minutes in a meeting with reps from three insurance companies vying for our healthcare business under the new law. We have to choose in the next few weeks, in order to have open enrollment ready to roll before December.

Guess what??!! All three companies gave proposals that were better coverage than what we currently offer, and cheaper than what we currently pay! All day Chris and I kept going back to read the docs again, because we flat couldn't believe it. Even though we will have to provide basic coverage to everyone (a large number of our folks currently turn down the insurance, rather than pay their portion of the premium), we will come out within about $26 per year total of what we are paying now. We also have step-ups the employees can add on out of their own pockets, and still not pay any more than they currently pay for their portion of the premium.

We were really dreading this meeting, certain the new legal requirement would force us to lose a serious bite out of profits. We were wrong.
