Going to be cremated.

All I need is a jar........temporarily.

My daughter in law, took her parents ashes down to the Caribbean and found a private tidal pool and up their ashes there.  She took a picture of the place and it was beautiful place, just beautiful.

Me too, FTW. I've told my family that they can leave me in the cardboard box for all I care, but that I would like them to spinkle me in the ocean OR make a reef out of me (the link PH posted). Some of my more conservative friends and relatives are shocked by how blase I am about the whole thing, so I love when the topic comes up around them. ;D

When you really think about it, dead is dead, but you become part of the Universe just a litle quicker.  Remembering that we are dust.  Dust from the Stars of the Universe.   Ashes to ashes and dust to dust to which you will return.

Exactly! I mean ultimately, I couldn't care less at that point what they do w/me. I assume they'll want to do something and doing something seems to be a part of the healing process for the living, so rather than have everyone hanging out staring at my over madeup embalmed corpse, I'd rather the took a nice lil' vacation to the beach and dump me in. I've always found the ocean theraputic, so maybe it'll heal them too. There is always the chance that they won't respect my wishes so if they opt for the casket I have my Fredricks of Hollywood outfit all picked out for the big day. :sneaky: That'll teach 'em. ;D

Yes, we came from the death of stars, the Super Nova's and the dust those massive explosions made.  Before all of the Novas there was nothing but hydrogen.  We are the children of the Nova.

When I think of the Christian idea of heaven, to me a bore.  Wanting for nothing, needing nothing. Getting up in morning for prayer.  Meeting with God to offer up prayers to him.  Dinner prayer.  After noon meeting with God to offer up prayers to him.  Supper prayers and maybe a walk on God's golden streets, cause God own everything.  Walking to God temple to offer up more prayers to God.  Then getting down on your knees beside the bed God owns and saying you nightly prayers to God.  Oh my God what a wonderful time.

Dammit! This city is now going to pass an ordinance that REQUIRES you to spay or neuter every single pet you own!

I own my dog and I made a conscious decision not to have him neutered. I think it is cruel and the health benefits do not justify that cruelty in my opinion. I am a responsible pet owner and my dog never leaves the house unattended, or without being on a leash or tethered out; and again always in the company of my wife or myself. Our pet sitter also understands this rule and never takes him out unless he is leashed or tethered, and never leaves him unattended.

Now the city is going to fine each owner of an un-sterilized pet 100 dollars each for every pet!

Breeders will be required to pay for an annual license.

Why does the city think they have a right to make that choice surrounding my pets lives? Because of the jackasses who are NOT responsible pet owners? Why do they think they have to punish everyone over their inability to properly enforce the laws that are already on the books!

They are meeting tomorrow to vote on the ordinance at 7 PM.

I swear, I will move from this city just as SOON as it is feasible for me to do so!

I was laying in bed this morning and thinking about all the lies and bull shit the Republicans have put out, on how bad Obama is.

It is now Obama's Iraq war, Obama's Afghanistan war.  All of the debt is Obama's.  All of the bank and stock market woe's are Obama's.  It's just like we didn't have 8 years of George W. Bush.  Hell, you hardly hear of George W.'s name when the Republicans talk.

  So I have one question,

After looking back at the 8 long, long years of George W. Bush.  How well did the middle class really live and how good did they really have it under the Republicans and George W. and prick Cheney.

Want some more.  Just vote Republican and you will get some more, only worst.

nearly 6% MORE Americans was employed during the Bush years....

I don't agree that it should be called Obama's war.......but, it is his to manage now. he is the Commander in Chief the outcome is now on his shoulders.....

If I was him, I would remind Americans that we ARE still at war, we need to rally around our troops, set a clear objective of why we are there....In Iraq, I believe we nearly achieved our goal....to get Iraqi's trained to protect themselves from tyranny.  In Afghanistan, it WAS to get OBL, now we have to decide WHAT we our goals is.....I say, it is time to crap or get off the pot.  Either have a full blown surge, like we did in Iraq......or begin a pull out....but, either way, the POTUS needs to have Americans RALLY behind our soldiers, give them nothing but our best efforts and support.

Come on Henry, what the hell is 6 points differences in unemployment, it was just starting to get really bad, when George W. handed Obama the wet sack of garbage, called the economy to Obama.

There still was 6% to 20% unemployment under George W..  Michigan was the highest then Ohio and Indiana wasn't far behind.

Don't brag about George W. unemployment figures.  They were lousy and you know it.

Vote Republican and bring George W. back and let him finish the job of killing America.

Henry Hawk

like it or not, the U.S. unemployment rate averaged 4.7% from 2001-2007.....ironically, the dems took controll of the house and senate, it rose, we elected a democrat potus......it rose again, until it hit 10%!!!

those are simple facts troll....

it was NOT lousy.....people WAS working....had he not had the greatest attack on US soil on his watch, and had he NOT had the largest, most devastating hurricane in US history, things would NOT have been as bad, ... on a negative note, I say that had he NOT allowed the stupid outrageous spending, and IF he would have controlled the immigration problem things would NOT have been as bad as they were....

enough of the blaming Obama's problems on Bush.........HE promised he could fix it!!.....so far, things are only getting worse....and that is a direct effect from his policies....they are a failure....and conservatives WARNED others that they WOULD fail.....

the proof is in the pudding....
