Wow, same here with the bad news.  One friends mom passed away yesterday and hubby's best friend since they were teenagers had a mild heart attack. 

Hope your sister and best friends husband will be ok.

It won't surprise me to hear we had a tornado in the area within the last hour or so. . . I was just sitting here posting mindlessly and my ears began popping like hell! That only happens with an extreme drop or rise in barometric pressure, which is usually a pretty good indication of a severe storm capable of producing high winds!!!!

Which is exactly what went through my head when that happened! 

I came damned close to sprinting upstairs to snatch my wife out of bed, and cramming the four of us into our shelter area in our house.  (me, her, the lil puppy and the baby kitty-kitty)

We still have land in Alaska and many other places that I am still 100% in favor of......this incident merely reinforces that we MUST have emergency plans in effect before we begin such process...as far as deep water drilling, we must have a zero chance of this happening again BEFORE we ever continue.....what about nuclear reactors are we fail safe with them?.....

getting back to your remark about 'drill baby drill'....until we can become dependent from foreign oil, then YES, I am STILL in favor....

if we STOPPED ALL U.S. Drilling...how much do you suppose we would be paying at the pump?
