Damn! As usual, the rain came in fierce and fast, and I had to go out and chase landscaping stuff. The wind was so high out here that it blew our 70 pound cast iron outdoor fireplace over. . . And that rain is COLD! I am surprised it did not hail!  :spooked: :mad:

Didn't blow quite that hard here thank goodness.  We didn't even close the windows but the ones the rain would have been coming in have the fans in them blowing out.  They're drawing some nice cool air through here now.... :biggrin:

Yep Just north of me is tornado alley.  I will have to clarify that though.  I do believe Ks is worse.

I could be wrong but I think the ones in Ks are worse because it's so flat and there's nothing to break them up like in In, Ky, and Tn so they go farther and gain more momentum.

No doubt about it!  :yes: That "t-alley" is a graphic that is misleading. Indiana, while not making the top 10 states surrounding total number of twisters each year on average, ranks number 3 in the nation is number of deaths per 10,000 square miles each year on average. It also ranks number 3 in number of tornadoes per 10,000 square miles each year, number 8 in both number of killer tornadoes each year and total tornado path length per 10,000 square miles.

Okay, as if I need it, I just got yet another reminder I am in Hoosierville and not in the real world. . . :rant:

NBC, which is covering the Stanley Cup Final, is locally pre-empting the Stanley Cup Final with a live program of the Indianapolis 500 Banquet!

Dammit! And NBC must have exclusive rights to the series or game 2 because it is not on ESPN or anything else! Damn, damn, damn, damn! Who the hell cares about that stupid banquet????? The Blackhawks have a chance to win the cup for the first time since 1961, and I have to watch indy car drivers eat and get fat checks instead of watching the Hawks try to win another game????????? :rant: :rant: :rant: :rant: :rant: :rant: :rant:
