I suppose I should provide some details. . .

High school basketball team bus. "Hazing" of freshman players by varsity players while coaches sat there and did nothing.

At least one of these boys had to be treated at hospital.

The debate and speculation by the media has been going on for MONTHS, and the prosecutor presented the case to a grand jury for consideration of charges.

Result - 4 players charged with multiple counts of misdemeanor battery and criminal recklessness , and 3 coaches, and the head coach resigned. . .(or were fired).

All 4 boys were booked last night and were released at 4:30 this morning after posting bail, and from the media coverage you'd have thought it was Lee Harvey Oswald walking out of that facility instead of 4 high school "bullies". . . :rolleyes:

The media has cast these 4 boys as bullies and a lot of them are pushing for jail time for them. . .

This has been at the forefront of local news for MONTHS, and I for one am sick of hearing about it. Is it a problem? Yes. But now they've been charged so STFU and move on to something else, PLEASE!

I was just actually giving Henry a hard time b/c he's in such a snit today. :biggrin:

I like the term "bullies" for these 4, b/c it fits. I wonder how they'd like it if someone treated them that way.

:biggrin: You have no idea how painful that was to have to re-post. The local media has beat this horse to a pulp, and they are still beating it. I guess it just chapped my ass to see it all over the news last night and then again first thing this morning. . .  Cripes, the kids will get what they deserve, the coaches got what they deserved. . .

(If it wouldn't drive diesel fuel prices higher I'd wish for another disaster to make the media forget about this situation!)

It really chaps my ass to say this. . . you just have no idea. . .

Hillary Clinton is doing one HELL of a job as US Secretary of State. . . I MEAN THAT! I have been paying attention to her efforts and I have to say, I have not seen anyone who shines at that job, quietly I might add, as brightly as she is in a very long time.

Who else could have rode herd on a deal between the US, Russia, and China, to agree to sanctions for Iran? The list is short I am sure, but she's on it. . . At least in my opinion anyway. . .

Obama picked a jewel for that role.  :smile:

  Years ago I had cable.  They were always playing games and raising rates.  I went to Direct TV satellite and have really loved it.  They are always running specials and the hook up is free if you don't have to run it through attic or walls.  Goggle in Direct TV and see what they got.  If you got a friend who has it and use their name and get them a $100.  I worked for twice for me.

  I like mine.  I will never go back to cable again.  The show schedule is worth in alone.  That TV Guide schedule sucks.

So. . .  its hotter than a whore at a republican convention yesterday (and today for that matter) and I go out and ride for a few hours. I get home and think, well I guess it's time to start my annual contribution to the city utility fund, so I turn on the air conditioning. . . And I wait. . . and I wait. . . and at 10:30 last night it is STILL 85 degrees inside the house. . .

Open the windows, put the box fans in them, and sweat myself to sleep for a few fitful hours. . .

I called a friend of mine this morning and he popped right over to give my air conditioning system a check up: diagnosis - out of gas. . .  :rant: :rant: :rant:

I call the warranty people but they cannot get out for 3 days, and I'm friggin HOT in every sense of the word. . .

My friend in the meantime tries to find the leak that has to be there but cannot, so he filled the system back up and it is now a balmy 72 degrees in my house, and I am STILL waiting for those jackasses to get back to me with a time when they'll be out. . .

Hell, if I was a cake I'd be extra crispy by now!  :rant:

My friend is going to come back tomorrow with the dye to locate the leak and fix it!!!!!

Friends. . . the best god damned warranty you can get in life. . .  :smile:
