I just finished X-mas shopping and never had a close call.

Did it all from my computer.

Wasn't Christmas shopping.  We decided to go ahead and get new wicks and oil for our lamps just in case we needed them again this year.  That stuff is getting hard to find for some reason and expensive when you do, well more expensive than last time we bought any at any rate.  We had stalked up a few years ago when you could still buy a bottle of the pure stuff for less than $2 and now its twice that.  We've really only needed them twice in about 8yrs but sometimes we like to burn them just because.

Aren't those places usually out of the country?

Yes they are, and you really take a chance ordering from those places.  You may or may not get what you think you are getting.  Name brands may be counterfeit, and generics are a pig in a poke.  Generic drugs are allowed looser tolerances than name brand drugs.  Meaning the generics may work better or worse, depending upon the potency of that batch.  Name brands will be more consistant and work the same way every time.  So even if a place like that was trustworthy to some extent, you are taking chances with your health.

 christmas is in a little more than one week.  i am ready. tree: up, lights: up, presents: done, dinnner: farmed out to kids, spare rooms: ready for company.

am waiting for the snow

we are celebrating huge this year. midnight mass, late dinner, christmas morning, movies, football, karaoke, leftovers, then christmas night, a pajama party with popcorn, hot chocolate, and a fire.

snow would make it perfect for sleds.

could someone please send snow?
oh did i say santa will be here? he will. not so sure about reindeer tho.
my family will be here for three days, then we all are scooting off for warm weather to bring in the new year.
