Sounds like sour grapes Henry or do you have a source to support "vast majority"? Oh and not to add insult to injury but 2.0 is less than 2.9.

Do you realize that some federal employees work directly in support of the soldier and are essential to their success? What about those folks?

times are tough....most of those folks are lucky to HAVE jobs.....what about the 10% who don't have ANY jobs....we GOT to quit spending money we do NOT have....call it sour grapes if you want....but, it is TAX dollars paying THEIR wages....by folks who are busting their asses off to get by.

Well they get paid pretty damn good on the average, along with SEVERAL paid Holidays...I don't think an automatic raise is vital....to their well being during a time of finacial hardship on our country....

Depends upon the band they are in, and unlike prior years, performance counts. Promotions and increases are not automatic anymore, and for every individual that obtains a 2% increase, there will be hundreds that get 1% and more that get nothing because they do not demonstrate the initiative and capability to consistently perform their duties, or do not possess the necessary drive and ambition for promotion to the next level. Raises are now "merit based" and no longer automatic.

All thanks to a much needed change to increase and promotion protocol mandated by the current POTUS.

And if you want to see the current pay bands, have a gander at this:

http://jobsearch.usajobs.gov/search.aspx?sort=rv&vw=d&brd=3876&ss=0&FedEmp=N&FedPub=Y

Note though, before you go on about a botanist being able to make up to 165k, getting to that level requires substantial educational and experience requirements, (student loans that MUST be repaid), and even then without a decade or two of government service under your belt you'll start on the lower end of that pay band. . .

any proof of this PH....I did see where the POTUS did cut it from 2.4% to 2%...and I give him props for that....but, in my opinion....cutting it to 0% would have shown MORE leadership....when our economy gets back in shape, THEN resume raises.....but, it is a slap in the face for many people out there who do NOT have jobs....imo.

Any statistic for employee pay based an averages is inherently flawed. Show us a chart that shows the differences in the median pay rates and I will pay attention.

For example, let's suppose I own a company with 10 employees. I pay each of my employees $10,000 per year. I draw a salary of $300,000 per year. The average salary in my company is more then $36,000. Misleading? The median pay is $10,000.
