I hate Wednesdays!!!!    Wednesday, is my busiest day of the week. I opened today at work, did my Walmart shopping, came home took care of the critters, took care of Hubby, did my housework, and now I'm finally taking a much needed break.

How fuggin stupid are people?  Right now we have 4 cars stuck in the flooded rural road outside due to high water and #5 is now moving into position. Can they not see the window height water on the cars already flooded out?  MORONS!

UPDATE: After #5 got stuck the cops came and put up a barricade so no one else can drive through. I'm going to enjoy watching as they pull those 5 water logged cars out of the water!

I told one of the cops that if they'd clear that "logjam" out of the creek I bet that water will go down rather quickly. . . They have a guy in a backhoe moving that crap now. . .

I guess that is one of those times where you just can't say "Who does that?"  because you have 5 examples right there in front of you.

Our street was flooded too and some dumb a$$ stopped about a quarter of a block back, gunned his engine, and took off like a bat out of he** through it being cute, or so he thought, and spit and sputtered the rest of the way down the street...  He did make a pretty high splash when he went through, threw water up over the fence.  What a jerk....

Well, they dragged the last car off on a flatbed. The water is gone now, and the creek is still rising. Once the log jam was removed it was amazing how quickly the road drained off!

People are total morons when any kind of a disaster happens. When it floods, people should have the brains God gave a rubber duck but they don't. What part of stay off the roads don't they get?  It seems like everytime LE, or anybody tells people to not do something (for their own safety I might add) they feel compelled to do it anyway?   Same thing in the Winter!!!  I guess if you're at the beach, and somebody yells "Shark!!!" it means it's time to grab your surf board, and head on into the water.  Gee Gawds people are stupid!!!  :flash:

Indeed. . . Now I know why so many people are killed in disasters; big and small!  :spooked:

Same thing with evacuations. If they tell you it isn't safe to stay there, it probably is NOT safe. I understand not wanting to leave, but if it's a life or death situation, a little common sense goes a loooooong way.

Oh yeah, how true that is!

My wife and I and another couple went to the new casino for dinner one night a few weeks ago. We had ordered and paid for our food and went to sit down and await it, when an announcement came over the PA that everyone had to get down to the lower level and into the back hall because a tornado was reported on the ground in the area.

I stood up immediately in front of my wife and friends and told them to stay put. Why they asked. I moved out of the way so that they could see the resulting stampede. I told them we'd proceed after the herd was well ahead of us, which we did. . .

There was no way I was getting into that frenzied mass and risking life and limb over a couple of minutes time. . .

Panic situations are the worst!!! Many people get trampled to death trying to get "out" of harms way. Thank goodness you had your wits about you, or you and your wife, and friends could have been hurt or killed. It's always good to have a cool head when things like that happen. I think I'd rather be blown away in a tornado, and found 3 states away, than be trampled or suffocated to death, under the crush of panicing people.  :spooked:
