I'm not responding to either one of you, other than to thank both of you for sharing these things with us. I know it was/is hard for you. I don't say this often but were it within my power to do so I would eliminate these issues for you both very willingly.  :'(

Dex, may I ask why it is that you never adopted a child? There are so many out there that are legitimately given up for adoption.

I would ask the same of Kim. It really sounds to me like you might actually be ready to be a mother. Why do you HAVE to have a man in the house to have a child? It's not as easy being a single parent as a two parent family, I know this from first hand experience. But there are ways to have father figures in a child's life without having a husband or a significant other. I'm just saying, is adoption out of the question for you too?  Right now there is a child out there that has neither a mother or a father, wouldn't it be nice to give him/her at least one?
Looks like I've come full circle.

 OK. I've had enough of this bitterly cold weather and the white stuff for one season thank you very much! I'm ready for flowers, fresh cut grass, warm breezes, and the hope of spring dang it!

Mid 70's  here today. It's really nice.

I discovered a UPS slip on my door Monday w/my name on it. I'm not expecting anything, but apparently it's really for me. Anyway, I left directions on the slip for the driver, since no one was likely to be home. No one tried to deliver it today. I decided to check the UPS site to see if it was really for me and what the progress was. Yesterday and today, the drive said "need an accurate address"....Uh...if they were able to put the slip on my door on Monday, I assume the address was good two days ago. I called UPS, the package is mine and I gave them directions to the door and an alternate plan in case no one is home. Hopefully, they'll find it tomorrow. I thought of PH. ;D

We thought about that a lot, but just never did go forward with it. Now that I'm older, I know I couldn't keep up with a small child, I don't think either of us could. We don'thave the patience for it.

At least there you get a slip. Here they don't even bother to come to the door if you have more than 3 steps. I ordered cots for my daycare (295.00 including shipping) and they left it at the bottom of the steps against the corner of the house. I didn't even know it was out there until one of the moms came to get her child and told me. The damn thing only weighed 45 pounds. And to add insult to injury I fell trying to manhandle a box almost as tall as I am up the steps.
