Vents: Random Acts of Venting!

I stopped at the 7-11 on my way back to the office and the power was out. I could see 3 clerks taking money and writing down everything as people checked out, so obviously they were still in business. I grabbed my drink and got in line. The lines were moving a little slowly, but not too much. The place is always packed and to be honest, I couldn't pick up on much of a difference. Why is it that there's always one individual that can't understand why complaining loudly isn't going to help the process at all? Did he think that they decided to cut the power for the fun of it and handle a rush at lunch time? So, I asked him, "Don't you think they're handling this the best way they can, I'm sure they don't have any control over the power". In response (actually he looked at me while I was talking, but I don't think he heard me) he starts bellowing out about the clearks needing calculators. They had calculators. When that became apparent he started bellowing about only taking cash. He was saying they should only take cash because the debit cards take too long. Well, duh! Captain Obvious! The power's out! They can't use the debit machines. Next was a rant about "only in America". I don't know what that was all about, but thankfully, I didn't have to listen to anymore because it was my turn to pay and get out. What an idiot!

Okay. . .  I got my starting issue fixed on the truck and now the friggin heat isn't working! (Blower). Looks like it's off to the dealership in the morning. Goodbye money!

He sounds like a total idiot. What a moron. He must have thought he was the only one inconvenienced by it. Cashiers get the brunt of everything it seems like. I get customers that are in a bad mood,and they try to take it out on me. The thing they're aiming for is to shit on my day, and not letting them get to me, is the best revenge LOL!!!!I act sickeningly sweet to people like that.

I don't know if this is venting or just my very own pity party.  Please don't respond because it won't make a bit of difference and it will probably piss me off because I've heard it all before!  Thank you in advance!

Two of my friends had babies in the last two days.  My college roommate called to tell me about the birth of my other college roommate's baby and to tell me that she is pregnant AGAIN!  When the hell is it my turn?  I don't know if I'm mad or just very sad, but damn this hurts!

I'm going to respond because it's what I do.  I kind of know what you mean. My situation is worse though. You are young, and healthy, and you still have plenty of time to have children. You want to take the time to make sure it's right, right? I'm sure you want a good man to be the father of your child, and you deserve a good man to make a family with right? It takes time. It's hard to see everybody else having babies,but keep in mind that you can have babies when the time is right.
Now, on to my pity party..... In the 4 years I've been at KFC, I've watched 6 different people I work with have children. I'm always extremely happy for them, but it hurts too, because I'll never have a child. When I see those beautiful babies come in, it makes me think about what I'll never know, or get to do with a child of my own. I had an early miscarriage, but my child would have been born in May. And sometimes in May, I think to myself ....my child would be this old, or would be in this grade. So, it's hard sometimes,  I don't dwell on it, but sometimes it really does hurt.

Kimmi... be happy there's a lot of time left for you to have a child, when the time is right it will happen.

I'm not responding to either one of you, other than to thank both of you for sharing these things with us. I know it was/is hard for you. I don't say this often but were it within my power to do so I would eliminate these issues for you both very willingly.
