Vents: Random Acts of Venting!

Okay so here is my dilema.  I teach full time which requires me to be able to speak.  I have had a cold for 5 days now and my voice is going down the crapper.  I need to not use it after work so I can abuse it again tomorrow. 

So my problem is this, I work a parttime job as a childcare supervisor at a gym.  My manager is there tonight and is quite capable to handle the supervising duties.  I called her and left a message (with my crappy voice) that I needed to take tonight off so I would be able to talk tomorrow (at my real job) and my internet was down in my class all day (yes it really was!) so could she help find someone to cover the shift.  She never called me back so I called during my planning.  She didn't find anyone to cover AND she expects a doctor's note from me for today.  I told her I wasn't going to go to the doctor and pay a co-pay for a stupid note.  She said she would have to write me up!  WELL WRITE ME UP THEN YOU TWIT!  I just feel like saying to hell with that place and never going back.  I've never done that before but I don't think I would make it another 2 weeks without being a royal bitch!

I could see her point if it happened all the time, but I don't think it does. She sounds like a bitch, who needs to be put in her place. If you can get along without that job, and I was in your shoes, I would probably tell her to stick it LOL!!!
My boss and our assistant manager have been sooooo bitchy lately, I've been tempted to find another job. I'm sick to death of the way things go there all the time. I get very tired of doing the work of 3 people, just because I'm older. They expect me to do everything, while others stand around doing absolutely nothing. I'm getting to old for that shit, but unfortunately I don't have any other job skills, so I'm stuck. I just get sick to death of it.

Ya know, that's a good question. I have no idea about that. You do have a good point. I'm not sure about the having to speak english thing. I know a lot of them don't or can't.

Just a thought, if it's not your native language speaking it and reading it are two different things. I had 4 years of speaking Spanish, but my ability to speak or understand it is limited to a few common words and phrases. However, I can read it fairly well and have a much better idea of what's being said. Also, I had a German friend who married an American when she was young and moved to the states. She has a bit of an accent after 20 years and speaks perfect English. She has difficulty reading certain words and couldn't ever count in English.

Whatever it is, I don't think it's a measure to encourage non-citizens to vote.

Some of our spanish-speaking citizens are older and simply feel more comfy speaking and reading in their own language.
My grandmother was a US citizen for over 40 years and still spoke Scottish til she died--usually when she was cursing me, though  LOL

This isn't a vent it's more of a follow up..... Corporate came Sunday to do our store evaluation. My boss wasn't there our AM was running the show. It is a well known fact, that if corporate comes ,and my boss isn't there, the other managers are to call our boss, and she comes right in. It has always been done that way. It looks bad to corporate, if the head store manager isn't there. The AM didn't call the boss when they came.  So, my boss was a no show. The AM really cut her throat on that one. When the boss asked her why, she said she didn't know she was supposed to.  Which is BS because she's called her all the other times. I think the AM is gunning for the boss' job.

It could get really dirty.  They're both the biggest bitches I've ever known.  I'm not exaggerating that either. They both are back stabbers, and it's funny because now, they will be trading barbs. I think I'll get some popcorn, kick back, and enjoy the show. LMAO!!!!

Yeah, I wouldn't want to miss a shot of one of them breaking a nail LOL!!! It would be interesting, if they were to knock each others perfectly white teeth out. I'd pay good money to see that.  I'm horrible, but I can't help it. When you deal with people like that all the time, you just get sick of it.  My boss is a very hateful person. I don't think she even has a heart, if she does I've never seen it, in any of her actions.  I think she has a miserable existence. She never mentions her boys anymore, and the only thing she cares about, is having a man. She one of those women, who can't be without a man. Her relationships keep failing, and she brings it to work with her, and makes everybody's life hell.
