That's the truth--my Celica went 250,000 and the reason I got rid of it was that the drivers door wouldn't shut anymore!

Between my wife and I, we have owned every generation of the Celica (except the very last one) since 1974.

Great cars!

They are excellent vehicles. When hubby and I got together, he drove a Starlet. The floorboards were rusted out, but it drove like a charm.  We'd probably still have it, if it weren't for the 12 point buck he hit with it LMAO!!!!  :spooked: It messed it up pretty bad but, the engine was still purring like a kitten. The cop that came to the scene, told my husband there would be many pissed hunters in the area, when they heard "Deerzilla" had been taken out by a car LOL!!! It seems the area hunters had been trying for years, to get him because of his 12 point rack. LOL!!!! Death by Starlet!!!! LMAO!!!!

My first Honda (RIP) would have been driven until the wheels fell off.  However there was a little incident last January which did not allow me to keep her anymore.  She had about 130K on it and I got almost $8000 from the insurance company for the settlement - not only did she run like a champ, she was still worth a lot too!  So I went out and bought her brother, another Honda CR-V.  This one has 108,000.  I wasn't concerned with the mileage.  I made them change the timing belt before I bought it so I should be good to go for another 10 years or so!

My wife drive her "03 VW Golf about 200 miles a day.  Good thing it gets 30+ mpg.  It now has 175,000 on it and uses less oil than it did when new.  Must finally be getting broken in.
