I am not believing what I just got in the mail.  My children's STEPMOTHER tried to file a petition to get visitation of OUR children changed between me and A@W.  WTF.   She was denied, but just exactly who does she think she is.  We are on the Indiana Parenting Time Guidelines.  If anything the visitation will be even better for me than it has been. There is a minimum amount of parenting time which is more than I have requested.  This woman is in for a rude awakening if she doesn't let up and I have to find out how to get her charged with criminal interference between my children and I.

no kidding. This woman is something else. When A@W told me I was running around saying she was jealous of me, I stopped him in his tracks and said hold on, that is coming to me from YOUR house.  15 said she actually said the words that she was jealous because I still carried his last name.  I am STILL Mrs. Bell.  Well so what, my kids carry his last name and why should I change it? No reason to add name confusion to the mix. I am so sorry I got there first and was Mrs. Bell for 20 years.  Deal with it.  All this visitation crap with her is her trying to stop contact with me and A@W. "just another way to break the ties"  A real piece of work, we have a 5 year old child. You think that the ties are going to be broken before another 13 years has passed?  I think not.  :rolleyes:

Sounds like a piece of work indeed. Something I would never fathom doing in my wildest dreams...even after 7 years of dealing with this kinda thing.

Most people know their place.  Yes, it is okay to give your opinion when you are the stepparent.  It is advised that the custodial parent take their new spouses opinion into consideration, but to just let that step parent take over, when they have no legal rights at all, to me is unbelievable.  I had a step-mother for 23 years, and never once did she attempt to come between my parents and we kids.  And I loved her for it.  She was a mom first, not a jealous wife.

Well, good luck with your situation. Although there are common threads, each situation is very unique.

Mine is absolutely sickening,too -- so it's better to just put it out of the head.

I know I said I needed a lawyer for this situation grrrrr......here it is my day to have the kids overnight and he's telling me no more. After 6 months of overnight thursdays, and a signed agreement to such, he can just say no more.  How is this in the child's best interest?  I need a ride to the courthouse tomorrow, anyone wanna take me?

His wife is behind it all. Tuesday when it was my visitation day per the special holidays, he did not drop her off, instead he told one of the kids that I needed to answer the phone when SHE called.  Uhm, excuse me, all communication regarding the children is take place between the parents. I had to call him to inform him of this.

A.  COMMUNICATIONS

1.  Between Parents.   Parents shall at all times keep each other advised of their home and work addresses and telephone numbers.  Notice of any change in this information shall be given to the other parent in writing.  All communications concerning a child shall be conducted between the parents.   Any communication shall occur at reasonable times and places unless circumstances require otherwise.  A child shall not be used to exchange documents or financial information between parents.

My visit should have began at 5pm.  At 4:50  17 walked over to pick itty bitty up.  No one was home, when we phoned HIM to find out what was going on..she had taken her to the store to grocery shop, they did not return until after 6pm.   WHO is she to deny my visitation time?  Thus I didn't get her until nearly 6:30. taking up HALF my visitation.  I'm wondering who this woman thinks she is.  I have instructed him, she is not to stick her nose into OUR custody and visitation issues.  She has no business at my house without him, dropping my children off or picking them up.  I will NOT release my children to her, ONLY to him.  But it looks like this is going to have to be solidified in court. :rolleyes:

Holiday Schedule.  The following parenting times are applicable in all situations referenced in these Guidelines as "scheduled holidays" with the limitations applied as indicated for children under the age of three (3) years.

A.  Special Days.

[1] Mother's Day.  With the child's mother from Friday at 6:00 P.M. until Sunday at 6:00 P.M.

[2] Father's Day.  With the child's father from Friday at 6:00 P.M. until Sunday at 6:00 P.M.

[3] Child's Birthday.  In even numbered years the non-custodial parent shall have all of the children on each child's birthday from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M.  However, if the birthday falls on a school day, then from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. 

In odd numbered years the non-custodial parent shall have all of the children on each child's birthday on the day before the child's birthday from 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M., however, if such day falls on a school day, then from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.             

[4] Parent's Birthday.  From 9:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. with that parent, however, if the parent's birthday falls on a school day, then from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00  P.M.

Why would a grown individual have to paper their work-space (Including the sides of their desk) with 8.5 x 11 inch pictures of various NASCAR drivers???
