Max is doing really good now. He has grown quite a bit,and he is a total brat!!! He is always in to everything. I have to close him in the bathroom at night, because he attacks my feet when I'm sleeping. It is not a good time to be brought out of a dead sleep by being bit in the toes.  He is such a turd, and when you throw Maddie into the mix it is crazy.

You mean you don't wake up and keep him company?

Oh hell no!!! It gets pretty crazy around here, the minute I climb into bed,and turn the lights out. Have you seen the movie "Night at the Museum"? That's how it is here. The minute the lights go out, all hell breaks loose.

Guess you're gonna have to start keeping them awake during the day somehow so they'll sleep at night...lol

that's how it is at my house Dex.  Seems mine like to get playing somewhere from midnight to 2a.m.  Good thing I am a night owl and am still awake at that hour.

My youngest daughter moved in with us a few weeks ago and brought her kitten with her.  She told me that he liked to attack feet and the first night here he did just that.  I let him know who was boss....and he has not done it since.  I think he just needed some other kitties to run all that energy off him.  He is a real good kitty now.
Dogs come when they're called; cats take a message and get back to you later.

Actually, they HAVE  to sleep during the day, because Hubby sleeps during the day. He'd kill them if they didn't. Last night, they slept all night until 6:00 this morning. So, that was wonderful. Right now, Hubby is sleeping, and I've got them closed up in the bathroom. Maddie is having a fit in there. Pugsly is tied out on the deck, and he's barking his fool head off at the cats. It's a zoo here I swear.

Boy, they sure can be ornery!!! If I don't wake up fast enough to please them, they launch an assult. Hell, mine jump up and down on me, bounce off of me, bite me, rip at my hair, stare into my face, and one even grabs my eyelids with his teeth.  :spooked: Yeah, they pretty much run the place LMAO!!!  :spooked:  The little assholes will probably kill me in my sleep one day and eat me.

Probably one of the many reasons we don't have any pets....

You don't have pets?  :spooked: That surprises me. You seem sooo nice, I figured you for a pet person. Some people, infact a lot of people choose not to have pets. Sometimes, I wish I didn't have sooo many. It's expensive, and very time consuming. The unconditional love, and comfort they give, is why I love them sooo much.  :smitten: But I do get tired of them.  :-\

We're gone too much in the summertime and really couldn't give a pet, preferably a dog, all the attention we feel they deserve.  We do give our neighbors dog quite a bit of attention though.

You're doing the right thing there. It's cool that you would think of the animals feelings first. I bet you'd make a great pet owner someday, if you wanted one.

We have both had pets in the past and loved them dearly but they are a lot of responsibility.  The most recent was a part wolf that we rescued from a very bad situation.  He was in such poor health he didn't even have any eye lashes and his neck was raw from the choker chain being around his neck and the tips of his ears were raw where flies had been biting him.  He was funny though.  When we would take him to the vet he was very passive and kept his head lowered but here he was in his domain with his pack so to speak and he was king of this castle and our protector head held high and very proud.

awwww thankfully he found such a loving home.

I'm watching animal planet right now and they're talking about the cat shows, similar to dog shows, but for cats and one man has 30 cats. He says that he uses two hours in the morning to feed, water and clean and then when he gets home from work 3 to 4 hours doing the same and grooming the cats. I'm happy that he loves the cats so much, but can one person give 30 cats enough attention? Then again, cats are very independent and really don't ask for a lot, but when they want it ... they want it. That's been my experience anyway.

When I had a Rottie and had her in obedience class, there was a lady who bred German Shepherds and Timber Wolves. Beautiful dogs, but she had to train away from the rest of us. If one of us accidentally stepped in what her two dogs considered "their space" they'd growl a low growl and prepare to defend. I'd hate to see what would happen if we ran at her. :spooked:

It would not have been good for sure.  I don't know about German Shepherds but wolves are very territorial.

I meant she bred them together. They were  Shepard/Wolf mixes. She's breed and sell them.
