I never had one 'til almost 11yrs ago.  Hope I never need to use this one, for that purpose anyway.  It's fairly clean and roomy and there's even a stereo down there but I couldn't see out and that would really get on my last nerve.  I'm totally claustrophobic.  A thick fog sets me on edge and I cringe every time I have to get on an elevator.

It's cold here in the Queen City and they're calling for snow. :eek: Where's spring? :confused: I knew killing that groundhog was a bad omen.   :icon_evil:

I have friends in PA who are telling me it's snowing. :spooked:

A friend of mine is in what they call their safe room in their garage in Arkansas because of the storms there.  They had to have something specially built because they are both in bad health and couldn't go to the basement any longer so they had a special room made in their garage big enough for them, the 3 kids, 2 dogs, a TV, fridge, and a "necessary" room. It's kept fully stocked since that kind of weather is pretty much a given in their area most of the summer.

Umm. . . yeah. . . I almost rode the steel horse to work today, and I am so glad I decided not to.

I saw silver dollar size/shaped hail come down in Delaware County this afternoon! And it added to the hail damage on the cover of my truck bed. (Stainless steel construction). I was amazed to find my truck windows intact afterwards. Several of my colleagues were not as fortunate!  :spooked:

We just got the hard rain and lightening and thunder here thank goodness.  It didn't really even get windy, at least here it didn't but it may have north or south of town.
