Well crap, I just noticed this.  I think I'll call down there tomorrow and make sure everyone is ok.  My ex MIL lives in a modular and I sure hope she's ok.  One of my ex SIL's was in the path of one a few years back and a small tree pierced the wall of the log cabin they were living in like it was paper.  It was really strange to see a tree sticking half way through a solid log half way up the wall of the cabin for sure.  They weren't home when it struck though because they had gone to MIL's house, she had a basement at the time, because there were a lot of watches and warnings out that day too.

This is the deadliest year for tornadoes since 1950, based on figures from the National Weather Service. The tornado death toll for 2011 is now 520. Until now, the highest recorded death toll in a single year was 519 in 1953.

  This last week 60 miles North of Anderson we got 4 1/2 inches of rain.  The lake was around 15 feet over pool stage and the water was so dirty, the only way you could have caught a fish was for it to run into your bait using a white red tipped cane.  The fish sure couldn't have seen it or smelled it.  No good fishing :fish: :kickcan:  :kickcan:  :kickcan:

This really isn't about the weather, but I was out that day and when I got into the building, elevator, and into the office I was going to, I found the air in the building extremely bad.  It was so lacking in fresh oxygen that I had trouble getting my breath and was worried I wasn't going to.  I finally did but the thickness of the air and its bad quality made being there for over twelve hours an uncomfortable PITA, and I don't think I'm just overly sensitive to it, because when I finally got out of the building into good air I was fine.  I couldn't believe the building maintenance wasn't pumping more outside air into the building, and I can't believe the tenants are putting up with those conditions.   :no:

Well, the storms that rolled through yesterday evening inflicted damage.

We had a shutter ripped of the house, and a neighbor had siding stripped off the house. . .

A woman was killed in Anderson, in Mounds State Park. A huge tree fell upon the van she was driving, killing her and injuring her boyfriend and 2 children. They were leaving as the storms rolled in, and the tree fell!
