Well, it's 10:30 am,and by the looks of the radar, the storm should be here in a few hours. It's 49* and the wind is 7 mph. It's the calm before the storm.  :spooked: We're under a Winter storm watch until tommorrow afternoon. They are still predicting up to a half an inch of ice, and up to 8 inches of snow, maintained winds up to 40 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph. GOOD TIMES . I really hope we don't get the high winds. We're in the middle of nowhere out here. The gal we bought the house from, said one year she got snowed in for a week.  :spooked: She also said that the snow drifts covered the windows in the lower floor of the house. She said she couldn't even get the doors open to go outside. This could create major problems.  When I put Pugsly out to potty, I'll have to give him a toss up over the drifts of snow. Just thinking of that makes me LMAO!!!  :rotfl: It should be interesting.  Thank God we installed that full house generator last Summer, or it could get real bad.  :grinch:

Yeah, thank God. I'm lost without my puter. Hubby will be home in a little while, and we don't have to go anywhere until Christmas Day. We're battening down the hatches, and we'll fire up the fireplace, watch Christmas movies, and veg.

Sounds like a good plan.  Of course if your luck runs like mine no matter how much you have stocked up you're always gonna want something you don't have....lol  We've usually got all kinds of different food and snack stuff but it never fails, we always want something we haven't even thought about in years and wouldn't normally buy...lol

I know I sound like a weirdo (more than normal ) but I truly am jealous of all of you who have snow and ice storms!
Before I die I want to go somewhere for a white Christmas, dammit!

I grew up with snow and ice storms and I don't recall it being that bad--everyone had gas heat so we were always warm--the pipes did freeze on occasion but we just melted some snow for water.

We didn't have a car but were walking distance from the bus stops and the plows were always out attacking the snow and salting the roads so people could get out.

I'M HOME SICK!!!!!!!!!   :'(
If you don't have anything nice to say then come over here and sit by me!

It is getting very cold here and windy. A winter cold front is coming in and it is going to be in the 20's tonight. I moved here to get away from the cold weather in the Northeast.

 You're always welcome here at my house T.  :smitten: I wish I could send some to you. Right now we're just getting rain. The temp has fallen to 33* so I'm waiting for the ice and snow to arrive anytime.  :biggrin2:  :snow:
