ICE STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EST TODAY.

THE NATL WEATHER SVC IN INPOLIS HAS ISSUED AN ICE
STORM WARNING.WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EST TODAY. THE
FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

MORE THAN ONE QUARTER OF AN INCH OF ICING IS EXPECTED. FREEZING
RAIN MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES RESULTING IN A QUICK ICING OF ROADS
AND SURFACES.

TRAVEL WILL BECOME VERY DIFFICULT THIS MORNING AS THE FREEZING
RAIN OCCURS.

AN ICE STORM WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF ICE ACCUMULATIONS
WILL MAKE TRAVEL DANGEROUS OR IMPOSSIBLE. TRAVEL IS STRONGLY
DISCOURAGED. COMMERCE MAY BE IMPACTED. IF YOU MUST TRAVEL.KEEP
AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT.FOOD.& WATER IN YOUR VEHICLE IN CASE OF
AN EMERGENCY. ICE ACCUMULATIONS CAN LEAD TO SNAPPED POWER LINES
AND FALLING TREE BRANCHES THAT ADD TO THE DANGER.

It's been raining off and on for three days. I hope the sun wins out today and then it can rain all it wants tonight.

Well, we didn't get all the crap we were supposed to  We had a little bit of sleet last night, nothing too serious. I haven't checked the weather, so I'm not totally sure we're out of the woods yet.  Right now it's 12:50 pm the temperature is 25*and the wind is 8 mph. Looking at the radar.... Oh crap!!!  We've still got a freezing rain advisory in effect for today. Now a Winter storm advisory in effect from Monday evening through Tuesday.  Jesum Crow!!!!!  They snuck one in on me.  Pale Horse !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boy, it looks like we're in for a hell of a mess. They're predicting an ice storm for us from today through Wednesday.  I might miss a couple of days of work if we get what they're predicting.  They're sayin' maybe up to an inch of ice. I can drive on snow, but I refuse to put my life in jeopardy driving on ice.  My Corolla is worthless on ice. I have some trouble on snow too. They might get mad at me at work, but I don't care. My life is worth more than the meager amount, I get paid there. It won't affect my pay for Christmas, because we get paid this Thursday, and not again until after Christmas. So, I gotta make it to work, at least one day this week, to get my check LOL!!! Right now it's 12:00 pm, and the temperature is 28* the wind is 0 mph. Looks like we got no air folks  LOL!!!  I hate ice storms.  Hubby has to go to The Windy tonight, and I'll sit, and worry about him. BTW.......Have I told everybody that I HATE WINTER!!!!!!

Indeed, my mom drops in first thing this morning carrying on about how we are suppose to get an inch of ice and that we are all doomed because the power will be out. She's moved into my apartment building and is just one floor down from me.

Just don't get iced in at work. I had that happen once. They closed all the roads and highways. Fortunately for me, I worked in a hotel.

Heh...iced in at work. That would be ideal to me, iced in at a brothel when making an I.T. house call.
