No, 70 isn't cold. 49 is. LOL When I lived in Baltimore we'd get below zero weather, but I don't know if I could stand that now. I try to explain to the San Diego natives about weather below zero and they either don't believe me or can't imagine it.
It was all I could do, to stand in the snow, and cold for 4 hours, putting up the Christmas lights yesterday LOL!!! My body ached sooo bad, I had to step in the house several times, for a couple of minutes to warm up.  :spooked: Man, I'm gettin' old.

It is dreary, misty, and chilly today.  High in the upper 50's I believe.
I'm jealous!!! It's only 39* here. I want 50's!!!

It is a little better now but with the wet, it still will chill you to the bone.  Especially those of us that teach in the trailers.  We are constantly in and out of the element all day!

Yep - our school was built for 650 and we have 930.  We have "mobile units" AKA trailers that some of us are in.

It is pouring down rain here.

Wow, I've never heard of schools doing that. Man, that sucks.  How does that work? Do they clear them out,and put desks in them? Do they divide them off into separate classrooms? It sounds like they need to build a bigger school.

No there are no rooms in them, they are individual classrooms.  We would build more schools but we average about 6000 new students a year in our district.  That is why we went year round, to accomodate more people!

You have year round school? Does that mean no Summer break?  :spooked: Man, that would suck.

Don't knock it until you try it!  I work from the second week in July to the beginning of Sept. and then have 3 weeks off.  That is when I go to the beach because it isn't crowded and it isn't 103 degrees.  Then I teach Oct, Nov, and the first week of Dec. and get three more weeks off plus the week of Christmas.  Then I teach another 9 weeks and get 3 weeks in March and finally I teach another 9 weeks and get 3 weeks in June.  It is awesome and many families love it for the travel aspect!

We already had our first snow on Sunday. We were putting up our outside Christmas lights the entire time. The snowflakes were the size of quarters.
