You guys can keep that snow.  I'll stick with my 76 degrees.  And yes, it's still 76.  The temperature hasn't changed since my last post.  That may very well be the low temperature for the night.

That'll make sitting inside your toasty house, eating a great meal and nodding off in front of the TV feel that much better. It sounds like a perfect and crisp fall day.

It's cooler here this morning, 55 degrees w/an expected high of 61 and I'm happy about it. The sun is out, but there's a chill in the air and it kinda makes today feel festive.

It snowed yesterday and last night here. I live up on the top floor of my apartment building and the town was looking like a big snow globe to me. The wind swirling around the building added to the effect as huge flakes floated lazily by my windows. Right now it's light flurries and each flake looks like its got a life of its own as they all make their way slowly towards the ground, each seeming to take it's time before coming to rest on the ground where they are destined to be.

The streets are clear but wet looking, and the houses are all cake frosted with a white icing of snow on their roofs and yards. Trees are mostly leafless now, standing like brown/gray sleeping sentinels lulled into slumber by the whispering winds and cool breath of the snowflakes.

The sky is almost white, with only a touch of gray to distinguish it from the ground below it. It looks crisp outside, but not harshly cold yet. It's more of a portent of the winter to come, a gentle warning of the icy bite that will fall like sharp teeth on our skin and town.

The first snow, yet another winter is upon me.
And thus I clothe my naked villainy
With old odd ends, stol'n forth of holy writ;
And seem a saint, when most I play the devil.

The way you describe that makes me feel like I'm there.  :yes: Your wording is very poetic. It makes it come to life in my mind.  :yes:  :smile:

Today, we had our first snow of the season. The snowflakes were the size of quarters. We only ended up with a light dusting on the ground. Just enough to put you in the holiday spirit.  :yes: :cold:

That's awesome Dex!  It took me a couple years to get in the Christmas spirit here, because it's so warm. It's hard to think of Christmas when your looking at sunny skies and palm trees. Would you believe that people actually put lights on palm trees here? LOL Anyway, it's actually cooled off nicely. It's cooler than I remember it last year, but I may just be getting spoiled.

It's supposed to be 70 tomorrow, but 49 tomorrow night. That's really cold for us. :yes:

Wow, 70* is cold for you? We have days in the Winter ,where we barely get above 0*  :spooked: I think lighted palm trees would be pretty. It doesn't feel like Christmas, when it's super warm or hot. I hope we have snow for Christmas, but I'm not holding my breath.  :no: It's rare for us to actually have snow for Christmas. Usually, we get it before or after.  :rolleyes: I think a blizzard would be good sometime between Dec 23rd and,24th.  :yes:

No, 70 isn't cold. 49 is. LOL When I lived in Baltimore we'd get below zero weather, but I don't know if I could stand that now. I try to explain to the San Diego natives about weather below zero and they either don't believe me or can't imagine it.

It is dreary, misty, and chilly today.  High in the upper 50's I believe.
Take time to smell the roses.
