She is only part Border Collie. We rescued her, so I couldn't really tell you what else she has in her.

Well, my friend, enjoy the view then! In the one "Looking NW", that is YOUR mountain in the distance!

BTW
Good news to share! Our new home is now breathing well on it's own! It got it's powerlines run yesterday and the meter was installed! I can now disconnect it's umbilical cord! Maybe I should leave that for Cookie, for when she gets here!

Feel free...I'll give ya' two hours of an honest labor in return for the salsa.

Lumbilly, gonna grab some soil from your mountain for ya...leaves...so get a PO Box ready and I'll send it when I come back!!!

Such beautiful scenery and huggable puppies!!!  Cool!!!!  I'm a thinking if you have any left-over lumber I just might try a lean to on a moutain and hunker down for winter!!!

West Virginia's in my soul now.....nothing better to be there, either!!

It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

Okay so I'm kinda new to you and Red Haired Girl, Magistrate. Where is it you guys live? It looks beautiful. I don't like flat Central Indiana, and am a mountain girl at heart.

I know...you weren't addressing me...but they live in BEAUTIFUL Mercer county WV. I'm in swampy Robeson county NC, but my heart is always in WV! Where were you raised at Daisy?

~Daisy~

I was born in Southern Indiana where there were at least a little bit of hills. I live in central Indiana now, where its flaaaaat. Our family has land in SW Pennsylvania and we go out there once a year and its gorgeous. I want to live there full time. We drive thru the northern portion of WV and its beautiful there, too. Heck, anything from Zanesville east on 70 would work for me.

We live in Southern West Vriginia only a few miles off I77.... just let us know when you are drivin' by, and we'll sure give you a salsa break!

We love it here.  I have lived all but 2 years of my life in this town. Magistrate is a transplant from Michigan, but he is a keeper.  :smitten:
He has lived in WV for about a dozen years.

The mountain that you can see behind that log home (our neighbor's, by the way) is East Riber Mountain, and after you top it and start down you are in Virginia.
So, we are not far from the state line. That mountain is due wouth of the "Terrytory".  (that is a play on words with our last name :-)

Daisy, we go through Zanesville when we go up to Basket Land (Dresden).... i am a true basket case... and sell Longaberger(R).  I usually sell enough to help "support" my basket habit. LOL LOL  It IS pretty there... but the hills... well, they are true mountains, are better.   ESPECIALLY in the Autumn!

Oh you mean the Longaberger Basket Basket-Building? We go by there everytime we would visit hubby's grandma. I'm going to miss driving past there so much. I love the drive.

Hmm, if I'm ever out that way, I'll look you guys up...I love a good salsa, and we make some really good stuff here, too. It could be a salsa-off! LOL
