Can't you cover the vines, etc. to keep them from frosting?
Only after the last tree has been cut down. Only after the last river has been poisoned. Only after the last fish has been caught. Only then will you find that money cannot be eaten. - -Cree Indian Prophecy

It would be great, but now it is also a freeze advisory.  Really no hope of saving them.  I got all of them in on the porch, so they should be alright.  Still 25 is pretty good, especially when you have a black thumb like me. I'm going to miss going out and messing with the pumpkins. I really coddled them. For the first 8 weeks I watered, weeded, and talked to them every night LMAO!!! As they came on the vines, I went out every night, and turned them so they would be nice and round. It was a great experience.    :hal3:

Freeze advisory?  Where do you live?  I hope you got to save some of them.  My uncle used to use heavy burlap on his patch when it got chilly.

Is it time for pumpkin soup recipes?
If you don't have anything nice to say then come over here and sit by me!

Central Illinois. We did get the frost. And the vines are looking pretty sick. We'll just have to wait and see. Champs rose bush still looks stunning. I never thought about burlap for covering. Hubby said the patch was too big to cover. It is pretty big. Bring on the recipes.
