I never thought of that. I just figured I'd give them to the birds.  I'll have to find out, if anybody I know eats them. Great idea me.

I've never eaten them myself but my kids love them.  One of these days I guess I should try them huh?

I think I may have tried them before? I just came in from the patch, and picked 4 of them.  I think there'll be 4 more tommorrow.  I'm soo excited, I could pee!! Woohoo!!!

Ain't it fun?  I always have enjoyed gardening and watching stuff grow.  Weeding ain't so much fun but the rest is....

Yeah, weeding sucks. LOL!!! I'm just surprised soo many of them made it. The Indian corn is getting ears on it finally. I figured it was shot, because it didn't do anything for soo long. I looked at the Sunflowers, and they're really little and dinky. The birds would starve to death, if they depended on them. LOL!!!

Okay my friend just read about this study that links working in the yard with fighting depression.  In a nutshell, there is a certain bacteria that can enter your body if you spend a lot of time outside.  They tested this with rats.  The rats inhaled the bacteria, then went to rat heaven, and when they inspected their brains, the bacteria went to the same receptors that Prozac will effect.  This is a natural Prozac.  So spending outside weeding will make you healthy! 

I guess that is why I always feel great when I can open the windows in my house.  Something about getting that breeze through the house makes me feel good.

Me too.  I don't know how people can stand to stay in the house all the time without opening it up but there are some people who do.  A/c on in the summer and heat on in the winter.

That is the only drawback about living in the south during the summer.  Since we haven't had a day under 90 in the last month, I've had to have the air on and not spend a lot of time outside!  Bummer!

I've found gardening to be a great stress reliever. It's starting to get dark earlier now, so there's not a lot of time,  in the evenings to do as much as I like.

I agree. A positive thing about fall, is gaining an extra hour of sleep.

Pumpkins,pumpkins everywhere. I've already picked 5, and I've got 10 more, that I will pick tommorrow. I gave 2 to a friend. There are probably 15 that will be ready sometime next week. Tonight when I turned them, I realized that I have somewhere around 50 new blooms, with babies set on the vines. I never knew they just keep on reproducing like that.The pumpkins I grew as a kid, were lucky to have 5 on them. I just can't believe my luck, because I have a black thumb normally. LOL!! I'm serious.  This kind of thing NEVER happens to me. I'm just thrilled.  I don't know what I'll do with all of them. I'll probably give a lot of them away. No sense in wasting perfectly good pumpkins.
