Donna Brewer says she didn't expect that her son's Abington public school would be like a Christian school, but she never figured she'd get tangled up in a federal lawsuit over whether he could dress up as Jesus for Halloween.

Brewer claims in a federal lawsuit filed this week that her son was told he could not walk in the school's Halloween parade dressed as Jesus, with a white robe and a homemade paper crown symbolizing the crown of thorns.

"What shocked me is how anti-Jesus it turned out to be," said Brewer, whose 10-year-old son enrolled in the district's Willow Hill Elementary School last fall after attending Christian schools.

"I didn't ask for this battle," she added. "I enrolled my child in school like anyone else this year. I just felt like as a human being, I had to take a stand."

Did they all go "Booogity, Booogity"?
Ignorance and fanaticism are ravenous. They require constant feeding.

I think, this is another double standard, if this had been a boy dressed up like a muslim and was thrown out...how quick do you think the ACLU would react?

I see your point...the ACLU doesn't care about Jesus, they're a secular organization who sponsors terror and you don't like them...

I think it seems a little disrespectful to play dress up as Jesus. Anyone else feel that way?

Why would you find it disrespectful, when you do not believe in him anyway, do you?

Nope, couldn't care less...unless he/she started preaching.
