Opening up the bar and celebrating my fathers 90th birthday today.  He still has a very sound mind, but his legs and hips are wearing down, and makes it difficult for him to move about, but he still does.  I have been very fortunate to have him in my life for as long as I have.  He is STILL regarded as my hero in this life.  He is the epitome of integrity and honesty.

Though he lost my mother 14 years ago, he has still been the core of this family.  He has nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren who will all be there today to celebrate.

Of sound mind and relatively good health.   You are lucky to have him for so long. I still dream of my parents, especially my mother -- well not so much dream, but awake from a deep sleep and wonder where momma is -- "maybe upstairs" I think, before I fully wake up and remember ....

Thanks guys!  Libby, not a day goes by when "Something" I do or see, that reminds me of my mother.  I lost her almost 14 years ago.  I think my Dad had a really good time seeing all of his kids, grandkids and great-grand kids.

Happy B-Day to yer old man, Hank!  One can only hope we live that long.  Lord knows he's seen a lot since 1923.  I enjoy picking the brains of people of age.  (Ummmmmm!......Brains!)

Law of Logical Argument - Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.  ;)

"You've probably noticed that opinion pollsters go out of their way to include as many morons as possible in surveys ... I think it's dangerous to inform morons about what their fellow morons are thinking. It only reinforces their opinions. And the one thing worse than a moron with an opinion is lots of them." -- Scott Adams

He CAN tell some stories.  His platoon entered Normandy, just days after the invasion.  He said it was still a mess there.  He can remember in detail of events that went on back then, but could not tell me what he ate for lunch...
