would you want your name on money, the root of all evil?

I think the quote is "The LOVE of money is the root of all evil."

Paper and metal are, intrinsically, harmless.

Those who scramble after what that paper and metal represent create the evil aura around it.

So in essence, God's name is on something that makes men evil.

If we hadn't created money as a symbol of wealth (read: power), It would have been something else. Bird sh!t, maybe. Or snake eyeballs. 'Cept they didn't hold up too well. Voila! Metal money.....

Maybe we should have made weed the medium. Then we could really watch our money go up in smoke.

And give god a really good contact high at the same time.  Bogart.

If I was God, I would want my name everywhere....to remind people that I DO exist...and to seek me....as it is, some want His name off of everything so people would forget about Him...

and there's my 2 cents... ;)

I disagree.  I will agree people want God's name off many things and not included in petty, irrelevant stuff like the "under God" in the Pledge or The Ten Commandments splattered everywhere we look.  It has nothing to do with forgetting God, it has to do with it being rammed down our throats at every corner.  Personally, leave "under God" in the Pledge, leave his name on money, let people pray in school, I could not care less because I believe there are more important issues we should focusing our energy on.  People that whine from either side of this issue need to reassess whatever method of control they're trying to enact because I hate to say this, but IMO, taking "Under God" out of the Pledge will not cause a rise in teenage pregancy.  Taking God off money won't raise the crime rate or influence abortions.  Taking prayer out of school will not decrease or increase drug use among high schoolers.  IMO, God wants nothing from us.  His love is unconditional and one day some aethiest will figure that out.

If someone refuses to say the pledge because it has "under God" in it, don't worry about it.
If you see someone praying by themself in school and you have a problem with that, shoot yourself.
If you see protesters demanding God be taken off money, shoot them.
If you see anyone who who is driven by pointless, religious cosmetics (for lack of a better term), shoot them all.
The world will thank you.

I'm not sure if I had a point to all this, but I thought I did.  Oh yeah, God loves you no matter what and as he sits above watching his little idiot children kill one another over beliefs and traditions, he has tears in his eyes.  Whether it's from crying or from laughter remains to be seen.

Henry, your comment....tells a tale Ive long thought was true. If people's faith is so weak that they need God plastered on EVERYTHING to remind them of his existence...its a sad state of affairs for religion.
