first off, i should stick a disclaimer in here.  i am a conspiracy theorist.  if you are not one, or if you consider 'conspiracy theorist' an insult, you may not want to keep reading.  i get passionate, and emphatic about hypocracy, and what i see as the rewriting of history.  at these times, i will swear.  a lot.  also, i am fairly topical.  most of the stuff i write will be out of date in a couple of months.  i'll leave it posted, so people can get a sence of where i stand, but i'm not going to respond to people who want to argue a point long after it has become moot.  i've been known to make predictions, and i'm correct the usual 50% of the time, so if you are here to point out when i'm wrong, go start your own thrash thread.  (i'll probably read it)  otherwise, listen to me, join me, heckle me, or whatever.

let the festivities begin...

history lesson boys and girls.  does anyone remember 2001?  not september, before that.  we got a brand new appointee...er president or whatever.  do you remember what happened to the economy?  how it went in the shitter?  the 'dot-com bubble burst', or whatever other excuse came up?  it got so bad that if the planes hadn't hit the towers and stopped trading, we were in for a market crash that would have made the 20's look like a golden age by comparison.  so, ok.  we'll buy it.  the dot-com bubble burst or whatever.  (couldn't have had anything to do with anticipation of the shrubs influence...nahhhh)  so anyhow there we are, repubs shouting about an 'inherited economy', and 'many factors at work'.

SO WHY THE FUCK IS IT NOW THE SHRUBS TAX POLICY GETTING CREDIT FOR THIS "BOOMING" (AND I USE THE TERM LOOSELY) COMEBACK???

FUCK THAT, YOU WANT CREDIT, YOU GET BLAME.  WE HAD SIX YEARS OF HELL FOR YOU TO ANSWER FOR BEFORE YOU GET SHIT FROM THIS VOTER!

Fallacy: Appeal to Ridicule

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also Known as: Appeal to Mockery, The Horse Laugh.

Description of Appeal to Ridicule
The Appeal to Ridicule is a fallacy in which ridicule or mockery is substituted for evidence in an "argument." This line of "reasoning" has the following form:

X, which is some form of ridicule is presented (typically directed at the claim).
Therefore claim C is false.
This sort of "reasoning" is fallacious because mocking a claim does not show that it is false. This is especially clear in the following example: "1+1=2! That's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard!"

"...but, the economy IS better because of the TAX CUTS....period......."

Correlation implies causation
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article has been tagged since July 2006.
Correlation implies causation is a logical fallacy by which two events that occur together are prematurely claimed to have a cause-and-effect relationship. It is also known as cum hoc ergo propter hoc (Latin for "with this, therefore because of this") and false cause.

uh...but it is better....

hoc ergo propter hoc....things either get better or worse because of circumstances that present itself....hoc erog, taxes cut, people spent there extra money, the economy strengthens....and more taxes are generated through sales....hoc, hoc hoc....it IS as simple as 1+1=2.....really...

this is the same ole same old, but, Bush called Katriana a National Disaster 2 days before it hit....blame the Mayor, the Gov...because there was people still there when it hit....they had 1000 buses sitting there they could have gotten EVERYBODY who wanted to leave out of there, but the lack of leadership was present....911, How can you even possibley blame that on the Pres?  that is like blaming FDR for the attack on Pearl Harbor....

poopiehead, poopiehead...if I'm one then you are two of them....hows that for arguement

You want me to blame this pres on something, I will, he allow way, way too much spending, too much pork bills passed and he hasn't been very quick to do something about illeagle immigration.....those are legit complaint to me....

The "opinions" of one so blatantly anti-Christian should certainly be viewed with not a small amount of skepticism.
You remind me of the people who just couldn't figure out what the "coloreds" were so up in arms about in the early 60's.
Your blatant refusal to recognize that there are people in high places (government, media, and secular society)  who are attempting to alter the freedoms that Christians have enjoyed in this country since it's inception is far beneath both your intelligence, and that of the average forum member.
The freedoms that enable Christians to live out their faith as the Lord mandated ARE under attack---you simply posit that those freedoms should never have been  allowed to take root in the first place.
Your attitude is understandable--your denial is not.

really gets under my skin.  we 'non faiths' are now somehow the oppressors?  ok, evangelists.  defend it.  c'mon, lets hear about all the freedoms of religion being stifled.  how it's a doctrine of your faith to spread the word, not just live it.

oh, by the way.  does that mean that a (purely hypothetical) american islam extremist has the god-given (and therefore government sanctioned) right to slaughter as many of you as he can between ramshad-whatever and slakashti-yougethepoint?

oh, he doesn't?  hmmm. kinda infringes on HIS FUCKING RELIGION THEN, DOESN'T IT?  SO LETS HEAR IT, HYPOCRITES!  C'MON, I'LL EVEN START...  "apples and oranges..."

I don't get why people cannot memorize simple numbers! My husband, who is stuck in Chicago just called because all he can find to eat are these pubs which are cash only. Well, he has cash in his bank and can get to an ATM, BUT...he can't remember the PIN. I have never even looked at the PIN for that card, so I surely don't know it. I know the one that goes to each of the cards I keep. Heck, he even doesn't know our home number -- duh-- and had to call my dad for that. How hard are those little things to remember???!!

What specifically about the post bothered you, awol?
Your comparison between what I was talking about and refusing an Islamoterrorist the right to kill as many of us as he wants is ludicrous, don't you think?

As for my origional statement that Christian freedoms are under attack in America, please google up "Alliance Defense Fund" (among others) and you'll see at least part of where I'm coming from.
