you're right.  i made assumptions based on past experiences with others of your genre that may not apply to you.

so tell me.  are you a pro-abortion evangelical christian?

As you yourself stated previously--no one is "pro abortion".
Well, almost no one, anyway.
Let me repeat my stance on this terribly painful and complex issue for you, awol--maybe that will help.
In a theocratic America, of course abortion on demand as the laws currently read would be abolished, and I'd back it 100% because I BELIEVE that a "divine spark" is at the bottom of the exact moment of fertilization, and that "God knew mw in my mother's womb" as the bible teaches. I also am convinced that women are much more hurt than helped by abortions when examined over the long term.
That being said, America IS NOT a theocracy, and I'm VERY HAPPY that it isn't.
Our government past and present has proven time and again that they can screw up a two-car funeral procession----no WAY would I want them to have their collective hands on the reins of Christianity.
We Christians love the Lord, most of us are volunteers, and are motivated by Christ Himself and WE screw up the faith sometimes to the point of being unrecognizable, so obviously, paid beaurocrats aren't the answer.

Anyway, we live in a secular society that wants abortion available at least in some cases--I do too.
I'm a "majority rules" guy almost always in regard to governmental policy, and America clearly doesn't want abortions outlawed across the board.
However, America (the large majority) has also clearly articulated that they don't believe in later term abortions except in the EXTREMELY rare case in which the carrying of and delivery of a child to full term will truly endanger the actual physical life of the mother, and NEVER in a "partial birth" way. I agree.
Related to the whole abortion thing:
I'm not against the "morning after pill", I'm not against fetal stem cell research as long as the cells are collected from dead fetuses, and understand the felt need of some to allow for abortion in the first two months in cases of rape/incest, though again, I truly am convinced that the having of an abortion for those reasons will simply come back to haunt the recipient in a "two wrongs don't make a right" fashion way more often than not.

While I'm at it, you also made some assumptions about my feelings and wishes regarding whether or not pornography and violent video games should be abolished, and again you were wrong.
It's a free country, and if it even floats someoone's boat to watch a video of some naked woman rubbing herself all over with dead puppies--okay, go for it.  BUT there should be REAL safeguards in place that would prevent kids from seeing it, and HUGE fines for any business or adult that tries to circumvent those safeguards.
As for violent video games, I'm perfectly happy with the current ratings/warning labels that are required by law.

I'm sorry this post is so long, but I wanted to make sure you understand at least partially what I'm all about, instead of continuing to try to cram me into the "Evangelical" pigeon-hole you've come to believe typifies common Christian thought and sensitivities.
You're one of the most even handed people from "your side of the aisle" in here, and have exhibited many times the ability to slow down, reread posts, and reacess both someone else's position as well as your own, and I sincerely commend you for that, awol.
Neither of us have to like or admire the other(though thatr would be great), but let's at least make sure that we base those likes or dislikes on what we REALLY are, instead of some erroneous suppositions made about the other because of interactions we've both had in the past with people who seem on the surface to be "the same".

:)

Yes I do...but it still comes down to the same thing, the killing of a human fetus, that is the point as far as I'm concerned....

Nice of you to ask, though.

Haven't been asked to shovel someone's driveway for some time now.

There are some things I'm not shy about, asking for help with my home is one of those things.  I'm thinking I'm going to look pretty funny in that thermal coverall that the ex left behind at 5am out there shoveling snow though.
