Why Is It?

With every day average people, if you get a felony conviction on your record it precludes you from eligibility for employment in even seemingly benign entry level positions. However, with someone running for POTUS a felony conviction does not exclude them from attaining the position and serving.

Why is that?

In an age where your dog biting someone can result in a felony conviction for 99% of us, why is this not a problem for someone running for the highest office in this nation?

Each passing day we see people's lives ruined by a felony conviction. Some of them are absolutely correct given the heinous nature of their actions and or decisions. But, some of them are undeserving due to overreach of our laws and government, yet the convictions stand and their impact is devastating. Unless you're running for POTUS.

That is wrong. As is the situation with life long congressional terms with no limits.

Why do we allow these situations to continue?
