Sometimes, ya just gotta get away from all of the hoopla going on in our political world........I just happen to catch a documentary on Einstein...

I managed to become a tad more knowledgeable on physics than I ever thought I would be.....BUT I these thoughts from Einstein I thought was very interesting.

Letters to his lost daughter contained this:

"Scientists have neglected it even though it is the most powerful invisible force out there. Love. Love is power that brings out and multiplies the best of all life. Love keeps humanity from annihilating itself in its blind narrow mindedness and selfishness. We live and die for it. Love is God, and God is Love."

Science AND God. Pretty cool he recognized that.

If we were part of a Big Bang and evolved from a speck of what-not, why is love an inherent quality in humans?....Love had to come from somewhere. Of course my theory is our Almighty God.

Einstein goes on to write to his daughter:

"Through this force (love) we can explain everything and find meaning in our lives. We have ignored love for such a long time, perhaps because we are afraid of it. Perhaps we ignore it because we cannot control it and quantify it. Explain it with our numbers and reason. I am forever sorry for not fully expressing the love I've always had for you in my heart. I realize I might be late with this apology, but please know I love you and it is thanks to you that I have reached the ultimate answer in life."

Einstein got it!.....what many scientist don't get it.....

There is something out there that takes it one step further.... "unconditional love"....or "Agape Love" as described in the Bible.

Not sure why I started this, but it was refreshing to get my mind around something else other than politics for a spell...so.......any thoughts?

Read on, it's typical internet BS from religious nutbags like yourself who are always trying to prove god by lying.  Quite an ethical way do it, don't you think?  </sarcasm>

Truth needn't be considered argumentative nor mean.

"You've probably noticed that opinion pollsters go out of their way to include as many morons as possible in surveys ... I think it's dangerous to inform morons about what their fellow morons are thinking. It only reinforces their opinions. HH, here's an interesting article on the subject of Einstein and god.  https://orbitermag.com/104-roundup-what-god-did-einstein-believe-in-anyway/

From the article:  Scholars generally agree that the theoretical physicist was an actual pantheist, believing that God is "in everything," or that all is "at one with God." In particular, as Einstein once told a rabbi, "I believe in Spinoza's God, who reveals himself in the harmony of all that exists, not in a God who concerns himself with the fate and the doings of mankind."
Big Think concludes that Einstein "was a pantheist who maintained certain Jewish traditions," and that he "preferred to be called an agnostic and disliked militant atheists. . . .

As far as love coming from god, I don't see why it has to. It's akin to saying you can't be a moral person without god.  Why?  Why do I need to know god so I don't kill someone? What about lying, cheating, stealing?  Since leaving religion, I've noticed the Xtians I know lie more than I ever realized.  My ex has spread many lies about me yet he vocally claims to be a god-fearing xtian.

From the article you posted: "In any case, it's simply not possible that Lieserl Einstein "donated 1,400 letters written by Albert Einstein to the Hebrew University in 1980s,"".  Holy shizzle!  1400 letters?  When did he have time for physics?

Why would it be impossible? There was no TV, radio, or even phones then so over a period of time that wouldn't be all that hard. If he wrote once a day for a year that would be 365 in just one year.

Abby, I agree with you as far as Christians are concerned, or folks who BOAST about being Christian and yet are some of the creepiest people I know....I DO, however believe that we all have a moral compass that is inherited by our creator....the downside to that is we are still human, and we all have to make choices......and we are infamous at making poor decisions as a whole...

It is MY very strong belief that we have a God and that He's the creator of the universe, the source of all things.

I think in order to truly understand love, there must be hate in the world.  In order to know happiness, there must be sorrow in the world....and so on, as I'm sure you have heard this before.....

Getting to my thoughts on LOVE, is that it is such an enormously powerful "emotion"........It is the single most influential act of goodness.........this world would not exist without it.  There MUST be something MORE than "just the way it is".

As far as what Einstein did or didn't do or what he truly believed or didn't believe......the fact that he did recognize love as something so powerful, that he didn't have a real answer other than it is extremely powerful....

There is no god as promoted by any religion - especially those as espoused by the Abrahamic based religions such a Judaism, Islam, or Christianity - and it's demonstrable that none exists.  Those that promote 'god' certainly cannot prove one exists or has ever existed, including all the apologists over the course of humanity.
