Hmmm... Seems like someone else agreed with you: Donald and Melania Trump asked the Guggenheim Museum to loan them a famous Van Gogh painting to display in their living quarters. The Curator said no, but she could recommend something else: a 14 carat gold toilet.

A real Golden Shithole!

When (in the past) the current President was a Democrat, the State of the Union address was promoted by the media as a 'must-watch' event....but when the current President is a Republican (and especially President Trump)....the liberal media pundits spitefully advise watching something more intellectually satisfying, like the latest episode of Winnie the Pooh.

What this tells me is this.........that they are in full panic mode!....because this has been a stunningly successful year despite all the roadblocks tossed in Trump's path from the political establishment, including treacherous Republicans like Flake, McCain, and Lindsey Graham.

I'll watch it just to see the establishment squirm.
 Well, I watched it, and didn't squirm. To be honest, I don't remember a single specific thing he said -- heard it all before -- and after a bit of that I became fascinated by those sitting behind him. House Speaker Paul Ryan was fully visible. Trump paused after each comment, and those behind him stood up and clapped. Every single time. Up, down. Up, down, Up, down.  I had to laugh, but felt sorry for anyone with bad knees.

It is the same with every state of the union speech. Up, down, visual aids and the members of the opposite party looking constipated.

Trump is a wonderful President and I am not ashamed to say I voted for him and hope to have the chance to vote for him again.   Love this post of yours!

Funny how the Raging Cheeto was all about claiming credit for the 7000 point run but not Friday and today's losses. Hypocrite, with an extreme god complex and narcissistic disease. 😡😡😡

That's the way Obama did things, claimed credit for the good and ignored the bad.

...and he still wants to talk to Mueller, against the advice of his own lawyers.  That shows me he's truly a dumbass, or living in his own alternate reality.  The way he plays loose with facts (euphemism for downright lying), he may very well be setting himself up for charges.  It is, after all, against the law to lie to the FBI.

  and/or maybe he's a desperate man who knows he's in WAY over his head and his apparent obfuscation is not intentional.

Below  is a bit of a very long article from the front page of today's Washington Post.  :spooked: :spooked:

How a British ex-spy became a flash point in Russia probe :

"In the fall of 2016, little  more than a month before Donald Trump was elected President, Christopher Steele had the undivided attention of the FBI. For months the British former spy had been working to alert the Americans to what he believed were disturbing ties Trump had to Russia. He had grown so worried about what he had learned  from his Russia network about the Kremlin's plans that he told colleagues "it was like sitting on a nuclear weapon."

He was now being summoned to Rome, where he spent hours in a discreet location telling four American officials -- some of whom he had flown in from the United States -- about his findings.

The Russians had damaging information about Trump's personal behavior and finances  that could be used to pressure the GOP nominee. What's more, the Kremlin was now carrying out an operation with the Trump campaign's help to tilt the U.S. election -- a plot Steele had been told was ordered by President Vladimir Putin."

I don't think that is such a bad thing. Have it on Memorial Day or Veterans Day. Show a little public support of the military.

Sure, why not spend tens of millions of dollars in taxpayer money for nothing?  I'll defer to someone with actual military experience.
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

I think it's a very bad thing.  Such a garrish display puts any thinking person in mind of a despotic strongman.  They're the ones that put on these big displays.

Trump needs a lesson in the "speak softly" part of that statement.

I thought you had military experience. We have military parades before and we have parades for a lot of things. St. Patrick's Day, some Polish guy who fought in the revolutionary War, Fourth of July, and Christmas to name a few. If I thought they would actually use the money that word be spent on a parade for vets or current personnel then sure do that. But you know they won't.
