Comey's dilemma

There are plenty of people in the FBI who aren't happy with what Trump has done, and they can fuck with him pretty good if they choose to do so.

Well, on that same level of thought, there are plenty there who do like Trump...some of them were not happy with Comey either on how he brought the loss of integrity to the FBI...........so, it may shine a light on some things that got swept under the carpet during the Obama years.

Can't you follow a discussion?  Nowhere has anyone said that it wasn't within Trump's purview to fire the FBI director.  It most certainly wasn't a sensible thing to do, especially now that he's going to have a special counsel crawl up his ass with a microscope, but it was certainly was within his power as president to do it. 

Since Hank won't answer, do you know what a direct result was when Richard Nixon started trying to mess around with the FBI?

Ya, all because they're wanting to do anything they can come up with to discredit Trump which could backfire on them big time. Of course if anything starts looking bad for them they'll cry foul and come up with something else and trash the person who found evidence of wrong doing against them.

Translation:  Can the mentioned parties halt an investigation if they wanted to.

Comey answers in the affirmative.

Translation:  Has the attorney general or any senior Justice Department official ever halted an FBI investigation.

Comey answers no. 

The question had nothing whatsoever to do with Trump or any request he may have made along those lines.  It was simply if any attorney general or senior member of the Justice Department had ever halted an FBI investigation.

The answer is no; Comey answered no.   Ergo, no lying under oath.

For the record, I'm not a big fan of Jim Comey, but I do think he has more integrity in the nail of his pinkie finger than Trump has in his entire body.
